Excellent and quick service - recovering hard drive data. My Sony Vaio had pretty much died and Paul was able to extract the hard drive and turn it into an external hard drive with no loss of files. Very quick service and reasonable prices. Would definitely go back for future computer needs.

Would highly reccomend. I smashed the back camera screen on my Huawei and messaged keeping u connected as he had been reccomend highly. He was so helpful, even to the point where he reccommended to try xyz before going through with the repair. Got booked in to a time that suited and the repair was done within a few hours. He went the extra mile throughout and I would go to him again for any issues I face in the future. Thank you :)

My partner left a 2011 MacBook Pro in with Andrew on Late Monday afternoon having been told by Apple Support on numerous occasions and a Genius Bar appointment that the Mac was dead. Andrew called us back at lunchtime next day and that he'd got it up and running - including fixing it he also cleaned up the interior and fixed some over-heating problems that we'd been having. Dot Com are fantastic - they fixed my mac which had been dead for almost 3 weeks and only charged us for 2 hours labour - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Brilliant. I went in because I split cider on my macbook although guys working in Apple store told me to buy a new computer, JS phones and computer repaired mine. Really worth than paying a new one.
So it was completely repaired with all my data saved. It is now in good condition. They were really competent, they send me a video of my laptop to explain what were the damages.
I really highly recommend them. Thank you very much for all your help.

I needed the charging port fixed on my one plus 5. Contacted the company on there Facebook page and they ordered the part. A couple of days later I took my phone in to have the charging port replaced and asked them to message me when the phone is finished or if there is any problems. Upon getting a message and returning to the store I found that they had cleaned the charging port, didn't think it was worth replacing and wanted to charge me £15.
Long story short, I refused to pay for a service I didn't ask for, I paid the £8 to cover the price of ordering the part and was flabbergasted that a repair shop didn't do the service which I wanted to pay them for.
3 stars - atleast they didn't damage the phone.
Update 1week later: The charger on the phone has started to break again. The cleaning process done by JS Phone's and Computers only fixed the phone for 1 week.

this got to be a magical and most cheapest shop for laptop repair in Durham. i accidentally spilled some wine on my acer laptop. i took it to the local shop on north road, i was told 150 in total cost.
i was very upset until i went in computer and phone shop, they had a look and all sorted in two days for 50 quid. this is magical shop for Durham students, 20 percents student on top. no wonder this is very popular shop among Durham students. finally i took some chocolates for the guys who made my day. customer service is very good, well manured and polite staff. i would recommend this shop to anybody as i got the best price and top service. thanks boys.

PLEASE do not buy from this shop or even go near it. My son bought a key board and mouse for his gaming computer. It did not work so we took it back after a week. We were told that we could not have a cash refund which we were entitled to by law as the goods were faulty and not fit for the purpose that they were sold. The very rude, arrogant owner of the shop told us "his law in his shop is higher than the law in England". We have contacted Trading Standards who told us he is breaking the law by saying this and we will continue to pursue our refund through the small claims court. Please learn from our mistake. This shop may be cheap but it sells goods which are not fit for there purpose they were sold. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

This shop is a life saver. I spilled a small amount of water onto my laptop's keyboard and almost immediately had a hard drive failure. I rushed to this shop, the first I saw on google maps, right before they closed to have it worked on. The shop attendant told me right up front what the costs would be to repair it (£85 if the hard drive needed to be replaced, £60 if the water only needed to cleaned out). It was ready the very next day, everything intact, no files lost. This was the quickest and cheapest laptop repair experience I've ever had. Such a relief to have this done so easily while writing my dissertation.

Took in my laptop for repair on one on the hinges, was told it would take a few days. After 2 weeks and no call contacted them to ask how it was goingl. I told them my name and was asked what kind of laptop it was, what colour was it, was it broken and had I phoned the right shop? They eventually told me they had been calling and e-mailing suppliers for 2 weeks for parts and that they would call me back later the same day. They called my back and said it would have cost £200 but they got the price down to £115. I said it was too expensive and told them I would come to collect it. When I went to collect it (it was in pieces and I had to wait for them to put it together) they wanted £20 for it - I had been told of no such service charge. I refused to pay and was told that they had travelled down to Manchester to get a part for my laptop - an obvious lie. In the end I had to pay to get my laptop back and now the hinge is worse than before. I can't even get on to my laptop because the screen is broken, I don't know where to begin with it because I need my work of this laptop. I was told they sell second hand laptops and I was more than welcome to purchase one. The reviews on here for refurbished laptops are shocking - illegal software, I don't think so! Do not go here.

Took in a phone which would not charge, and was told they could fix it for 35 quid or sell us a charger and spare battery for 22. The charger quit working within the week; when we returned it, the man acted shocked, accused us of breaking the flimsy charger, and offered again (albeit quite rudely) to the fix the phone. He kept it overnight and did not call, and when we went in tried to charge us for the battery we'd brought into the store to begin with. When we protested, he offered to cut us a deal; when we pushed further, he began ignoring us entirely until we left the shop. When we got home and plugged the phone in, it still wouldn't charge; after reading these reviews, I doubt there's any point in going back. The guy was passive-aggressive and completely unhelpful. Wish we'd read these reviews before wasting so much time and money to no end. Don't even bother with this place!

Horrible post office. I've had several packages (with pre-paid labels) refused due to supposedly incorrect dimensions (i.e. too large for the specific RM service I've already paid for). I've informed the postmaster/owner that all of them were perfectly fine as I've sent packages of the same dimensions, and using the exact same RM service, before, but he still refused them, point blank.
The service here is absolutely dreadful. They'll take your parcel and measure it rigorously in front of you, as if you were being dishonest, and if they think it's slightly larger than the required dimensions, they'll refuse it or try to get you to pay extra for the "correct" service.
Ironically, the EXACT same packages got accepted at the Sherburn branch right away, without any problems whatsoever.
Also, their attitude is disgusting -- they postmaster literally laughed in my face when I informed him the packages were fine. There was another lady there, too, who joined in.
Definitely avoid them if you can, or be prepared to pay more to get your parcels sent.

A dreadful post offfice. Owner takes issue with posting items using pre paid labels. Claimed I am putting him out of business. Pre paid labels are convenient and vital to many small businesses. I would likely purchase other items while in the post office sending items but I'll no longer be visiting. Dreadful service.

Absolutely atrocious. Waited for 35 mins for the young lad to finish his conversation with the woman being served while putting stamps on packages at 1 per hour. Once i get to the front of the queue to be told he isn’t trained to tax a car!!!!!!! How can you work in a post office if you cant do the job??? Have asked friends who work or have worked in a post office who have said the post master or mistress should have been supervising him but when i asked the half asleep other young uninterested lad he said sorry they wont be in until the morning. I only gone to this post office to send a £ 100 money gram, their have been a very long queue at least 11 people behind me. The problem started when the female with the dark hair behind the desk was asking me for my personel information in an abnormal loud voice, so I asked her if she can speak quietly as I do not wish for everyone to know all of my private details.. In the mean time a male with a very agrassive manners threatend to bard me from the premises and then both of them started at me.
I felt extremely humiliated and belitled unesessary . I did not experienced such rudness and nastiness like that before. I will never go back there!!

Went with some questions regarding mail service. Staff was rude and gave short answers that were unhelpful and disinterested. Even for a post office which shouldn't necessarily prioritize customer service, I will not be returning. Only thing is that the building is historic and clean.

Located in a much older historic type building, this post office location is very nice to look at from outside and is fun to see on inside despite being quite dated. Services you would normally expect at a post office, a ton of PO boxes, and some extra services such as a passport application location. Service is fine. Lines can get long. There is very limited short term street parking in front, but parking is a real problem if you are coming by car. Probably needs a renovation to be more functional, but I enjoy the glimpse back in time and historic nature of the building.

Debra at the Passport acceptance facility provided the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I was helping a family friend's daughter get her passport renewed, and she would not let us speak (interrupted me whenever I tried to talk), would not look at our documentation, was rude, told us that we didn't have proper ID (we did, she would not look at it). DRIVE TO ANOTHER FACILITY - YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR PASSPORT PROCESSED CORRECTLY HERE!

Had to return large parcel (microwave).
I thought it would be better to take it to the main depot instead of a post office with limited space. It would also save driver having to pick it up from post office to take to the main depot.
The person at the counter ignored me instead of being courteous and saying 'I'll be with you in a minute' which would have made all the difference.
When they did serve me the first thing she said was 'I can't take that here' before even trying to scan the label. She then said its to heavy you'll have to take it to the post office. I said to her I thought I be saving the post office the trouble of handling and storing a large parcel and your driver the job of carrying it from the post office to his van and from the van into the depot that its already in now.
She just did not want to know so I took it to post office at Belmont Durham who were very professional and courteous. I explained what I had tried to do and they agreed it would have made sense but didn't seem to surprised so I believe this is not an isolated incident.
It is now pretty obvious why we have so many different courier and delivery company's on our roads when our "Royal Mail" are so far behind the opposition.

Welcome to the most miserable place on Earth. It's bedecked with notices about services that won't be forthcoming - biggest of all is a huge one stating that they won't be providing sellotape for parcels.. while it might be irritating to have to provide it to the occasional customer, how much would a roll be - at cost price!!!! surely a couple of quid in the name of customer relations is worth it... actually - no. Others include no change, etc - given how close Mark Gatiss lives to it, one can only wonder if it really is a local post office, for local people ...

We have banked with Nationwide for about 30 years and so recommended our son bank there and take his first mortgage there. The advice he was given was plain wrong and almost cost him and his partner over £1000. The solicitor managed to help retrieve most of it and the manager eventually made up the difference with something for their added stress and running around (3 visits to their banks, etc). Dealing with the manger just made it worse as he never called back on the day we were told and it seems only irate phone calls finally got him to get out of his chair. I will be closing our accounts starting this week.

A ludicrous unprofessional bank. My sister and I were left a small bequest and needed to open a joint account to take the funds; I, fool that I am, got a poor credit score when I forgot to pay a bill for polish zlotys (I go there for private dental work). These disgusting credit agencies!! The coop behaved like zombies following orders with no human empathy and refused to open the account! We went elsewhere. I always avoid coop shops, now I add another of their offerings.

Although the staff has been replaced by machines there were still 3 staff members that were available to help out with using these machines, however they are straight forward to use anyway... I went in to authorise my online banking and was in and out in 5-10 minutes with no problems at all. Staff were extremely helpful.

Prefer to deal with people not machines! Bring back the staff. Takes so long to figure out whay to do, I lost my card last time I was in, tried phoning the bank and could only reach someone in India who said we now can't phone the banks directly! Service now very poor. Only a single bank clerk there to help operate the machines. Not a very interesting career for them now?

Very poor service today called in to put £500 in £2 coins & 50p in to my account to be told by a very rude lady I could only put 10bags of coins in at once. So you carnt even put money into your bank these days !
