Saved my arse during deadline week after my MacBook's hard drive self destructed.
During last 2 weeks at university my MacBook Pro decided to shut down, greeting me with a black screen indicating that my internal hard drive had been lost, along with all data.
Went to the Falmouth Uni IT Support, who refused to even look at it or offer me a modicum of advice. Referred me to a "Licensed Apple Retailer" in Newquay, who said my MacBook's internal hard drive was irreparable, and all files would be impossible to recover. My "best case scenario" was to purchase a new hard drive from them for £450.
I was skeptical so decided to call Andy from Falmouth Computers and within 24 hours he had recovered ALL files from my MacBook's "irreparable" hard drive, and managed to restore it to complete working order. All for an incredibly fair price - and that's coming from a student. Nothing near the extortionate amount quoted by the official Apple guys.
Was able to complete the rest of my uni work without a hitch over the next week, and I owe it all to Andy. 2 weeks later the laptop is still working good as new.
Lovely guy, great service. Someone who clearly isn't trying to rip you off or take advantage. Would highly recommend.

Jon is a class guy with a first class business attitude.
My Mac book pro laptop keyboard had a drink spillage everyone I spoke to said the labor alone would be too much to consider even thinking about so I’d tried all the computer shops “all very negative” and some mobile computer experts.
Jon was the only mobile computer expert and software specialist who enstilled any confidence in me.
After speaking to Jon he found the parts needed he ordered them that day the following day they arrived and the work on my laptop was completed it now runs better than it ever had.
I would highly recommend Jon and will be using his services again

Over a period of two weeks I ordered a part for him so he could repair a mother board, he said he would call me back in 5mins when I spoke and told him I had the part, he didn’t call back, I tried again and he said he would still call back, he didn’t, so later I left a message and he still didn’t come back to me!
He wasted my time and offered no explanation, it seems obvious that he decided that he couldn’t do the job or didn’t want to after saying he could,. Nice of him to tell me instead of messing me around.
A time waster that I certainly couldn’t and won’t recommend.

This postal office docked the wrong address on first class next day delivery. Consequently my birthday present went to an address in Bristol and not Brighton with completely different house numbers and post codes. Really unhappy about this mistake - it has caused so much stress and no one at the royal mail seems to care or really want to help.

Some visiting friends of mine told me about a amp/speaker they had seen and they wanted to buy it. Being a resident of Falmouth, I mentioned that it was a good friendly place. We walked in and asked the young man if we could try it out and asked if one of us could plug in a guitar, which he did. Upon trying the amp/speaker, it was discovered that it didn't fully work. The young man then blurted out that if we didn't want to buy it, he would sell it to someone else. I mentioned that it was unfair not to tell anyone that the item didn't work properly. He said it was his shop and could do what he wanted. I said that was stupid and he started shouting at me and called me a c**t. That's not how to treat local trade. It turns out that the shop is his father's, not his. I do not recommend this place.

I brought a guitar amp, I asked if I could play though it first, but they would not let me test it in the store. This was an imideate red flag to me, however I was reassured by the shop keeper that the item would work, and that it had been tested by a professional. I explained to him that I was not from around here and that if it dose not work I will not be able to return the item. The man said that, it was ok and usually we can do returns over the phone. When I got it home I was excited to plug in the new amp and test it's parameters. However plugging it in only brought disappointment. The amp dose not work.. it was obviously not tested by a guitar player, as the speaker has blown and the wiring and pots are extremely crackly. Not what I was expecting, so when I called up to discuss this with the shop, I was faced with a very rude shop assistant that was not interested in helping me in the slightest. He said that he will take my name and number and get the boss to give me a call back. This was last week, I do not have the time to chase these cowboys, so please do not trust what they say! Very disappointed and have had to pay £45 to my local luthier to get it fixed. I thought I was getting a great deal on a great amp, instead I have over payed for an ok amp.. buyers beware!!

I went in to draw out cash £450. I was given 45 £10 notes - crazy. Who would want to walk around with their pockets bulging with notes? I said I wanted twenties and they had to sort it out. Whilst this was going on I forgot to take my card out of the counter card reader. I left without it. They did not have the brains to ring me, my phone mumber is on my account. By the time I realised, the branch was closed Left me without my card at the weekend and a 60 mile trip to recover it. Tried to send them a secure message off the website but the function did not work. Rang the call centre to complain, wouldnt take my complaint because I couldnt give them the number off my card...duh they have my card so how could I get the number. Boggling Santander incompetence.....

If there is no decent PC repair shop in your area, send you storage device to data recovery lab from the nearest post office. You can pay for recovery services or software registration at any bank.
Stop using the device where you used to keep the deleted data.
