My laptop was totally dead, had friends and family and also 1 other computer company in Ossett look at it. everyone said it was motherboard failure. Simon came highly recommended and this is my true opinion, Simon from the moment on meeting him was smart, welcoming and instantly new what needed to be done to get my laptop back up and running, he was informative the whole way through and the overall cost was a mere fraction of having to start again with a new laptop. I attend a local church in Ossett and was using a 1 man band who literally was ripping us off and also some of the other older ladies and gents at the church and when I mentioned to a close friend about getting ripped off he instantly said go see Simon at Excel Computer Solutions. Best thing I ever did. Simon is there to help you and not to see how much money he can get from you. 1st time I have stepped in the shop as I didn't even know the shop existed, but on entering I was welcomed with a smile, and within minutes of me going in the door just kept opening, on what I heard and the service I received Simon is well known and offers a fantastic service, he helped me with a problem on my laptop that many friends and family couldn't help me with, cost was great, service was great. Any computer issues at all then Ryan at Compu-Tech Horbury has to be your first call. Ryan has helped me in the past with a home visit to sort out a huge problem on an old computer and more recently sorting out and setting up a new laptop. Ryan is such an expert in his field and goes out of his way to sort things out. I would not hesitate to recommend Ryan to anyone - if it can be done he can do it.

It's generally busy here, if you need just to send a package or letter, try not to go first thing as there is more than likely going to be a queue. Lunchtime and just before the end of the working day is also quite busy so try and squeeze inbetween those times and you will fly through hopefully. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I've never had a problem here.

Horrible man - Sent 17yr old autistic daughter down for 3 loaves of bread (it's snowing bad) one for ourselves, one for elderely neighbour and one to take down to soup kitchen. Man (george) called daughter greedy and had a go at her from across the shop, there was no sign telling her she could it get one loaf and she has been in often enough for him to know she has difficulties so to treat her this way is disgusting. She brought the one and came home in tears. She has only recently had confidence to buy something independently so well done for destroying this confidence silly man.

Don’t usually write reviews but I’m going out my way to write one to warn people to stay away from this post office. The staff are rude and abrupt. Put a smile on your face???? They Clearly hate their jobs, particularly the brunette women - extremely rude and sarcastic. This place needs shutting down, it is worth traveling a mile up the road to the one in south Elmsall, staff are fantastic.

I use this Post Office regularly and have always found those who work there to be exceedingly pleasant and extremely helpful. When I go in I am always greeted with a smile (of course it could just be wind!) and a good morning/afternoon, how are you?.
Although the owner has several beautiful dog's who are extremely well looked after and on occasion act as security behind the counter, I have never noticed a smell of Dog, I will say I have noticed other smells such as very poor hygiene and some rather overpowering herbal aromas but never Dog. :)
The owner & staff are very knowledgable and patient and always willing to help with any query, The shop itself is always clean and has a good selection of postage & packaging materials and a large and varied greeting cards selection, all at very reasonable prices.

Used this post office for 13 years now. Tried everything they have to offer and never had an issue. Staff knowledgeable and go the extra mile to help me out when I have large volumes of parcels. Good selection of boxes and wrapping tape/paper. The man is lovely with my daughter and the ladies are working hard with very little thanks for a difficult job. So I thank you!

Horrible post office staff are miserable talk at you rather than to you the snotty cow behind the counter (brunette hair cut short) is rude rolls her eyes tuts and generally talks to you like trash almost like shed prefer you weren't there at all (i only go here if i have no choice if im out and a parcel of mine is taken here for me to collect) if im sending anything i drive to the one in Elmsall that's a mile or so away from this one (i only live a stones throw from this one but will not give them my custom) 1 star is too high a rating for this place

I would give more than 5 stars if the system would allow me to do so. The staff at this post office are undoubtedly the most professional and courteous that I have met when dealing with Royal Mail issues. I was at my wits end trying to chase up a Royal Mail mis-sorted parcel. When dealing with Royal Mail directly (national helpline), I received a barrage of 19th century reasons why Royal Mail were unable to help even though the parcel had tracking numbers. It appeared during the re-routing process, the parcel was not scanned enough times by the relevant Royal Mail sorting office. So, it wasn't clear if the parcel was still in the incorrect sorting office or whether it had started its journey back to the correct sorting office. There was also a sense from national customer service and the incorrect sorting office that the only option was to cross fingers and hope it finds its way to me. As I continued my quest to find this parcel, I then came across the staff at this South Kirkby post office and it was like a breath of fresh air. They took my concerns seriously and did their best to help me In short, they are absolute stars.

My experience is anything but excellent customer care. Aparantly the could not deliver a parcel with a tracking number because they did not have the delivery address, but when I contacted them to ask to them why they had not sent it back to me the sender, then all of a sudden the could not find my parcel and had in my view an attitude of 'its lost so tough claim your money back and go away please!!!

The most unhelpful post office I've ever used. You wait for ever while they serve everyone at the shop side, even if you are before them in the queue. The man who works there has a proper attitude problem and literally couldn't be more unhelpful. He will stand and chat to his "locals" while everyone else stands and waits, he can't be bothered telling you the postal options you have, he just wants to give you the most expensive option, just a proper lazy man, if you want a decent service go elsewhere.

I would like to complain about online service, I wanted to pay my credit debt so I gave them call. It was so boring and stupid question that they asked me to confirm that I am the real person to pay my debt so have u see any stupid guy who wants to pay other people debt . They were asking some crazy question like , did u pay ur last payment online or etc?! Opening hours are very frustrating as they are only open during typical Monday-Friday working times, meaning making a deposit in person can be very difficult. Site also does not have self-service machines and can only be done at the tellers, who are polite but few.

Staff are polite but can't help but breach data protection when showing customers their account details on screen. Not their fault though given that the waiting area has screens in clear view. Very poor layout in branch and apparently management aren't bothered!

What can i say ??? Miserable and rude staff, terrible layout, dogs behind the counter barking and oh yes, paid them a large amount of cash to put in my bank account, was told would be there in 30 mins, but didnt arrive !!!!! Contacted them by phone and was told "take it up with the bank" ??? So i did, bank were exceedingly helpful but as expected, they quite rightly told me the fault lay entirely with the post office as they were the ones who handled the transaction . Called PO again - was given very short shrift from the very rude lady yet again and told to call a complaint line ? Money still not in my bank !! I cannot say anything nice about this branch, or the postmistress Tracey Sherlock - just avoid it/her if you can !!!
