Matt at Bristol Computer Support offers a fantastic service. For anything you have no idea what to do with computers Matt's your guy. He personalises what you need rather than what you are told by the large companies. If you need any Microsoft software it is best to speak to Matt.

Cracked my new laptop screen. First person who looked at it kept it a couple of days and said they couldnt fix it because they couldnt get the screen and also couldn't separate it for the fix.
Took it here and within a few hours got a call to say they could get the screen. Had to wait for it to come in but i had my laptop back with a new screen in under a week. Also gave me a small discount which was great.

Following a failed attempt by myself to restore certain settings on my laptop I contacted goto iT.
I arrived at 13:59 and realised that at 14:00 the shop was meant to close for lunch. However, Adam and the team, were amazingly accommodating and attended to me throughout what should have been their lunch break.
The service was professional and very customer centric.
I would highly recommend the services of Adam and his colleagues who recovered my settings, data etc in a very professional manner.

Sam and Graham, these are the Guys you need to see if you have any problem with your Laptop.
Went to Apple store with my Mac and they recommended some guys to me who I’m not going to mention here, however they did a free diagnosis for me and quoted me a Ridiculous amount to fix my laptop.
I googled and found good reviews about GOTO IT and I couldn’t be anymore satisfied with their service, every 5* Review you may read about these guys are true! That’s all I can say.

I wish I had been told about 'Goto IT' earlier, it would have saved me buying a new computer!! Rather than throw away my old computer I decided that it was worth spending up to £100 trying to get it going again and having a spare computer. I had fitted a new hard drive but just could not get the computer to connect to the internet again even with a lot of help from the Samsung chat line and from computer literate friends. Well 'Goto IT' exceeded my expectations! They got my old computer fully functioning again for only £70. Not only did they get it connected to the internet , they also worked with me asking all the right questions to help me find and reactivate an existing Norton account and downloading Office products that I also had a licence for. The result is that my old computer is now fully functioning again and loaded up with all the latest software. This was all done in one afternoon. I cannot praise them highly enough. Well done to Sam, Adam and owner Graham.

Great shop, friendly service, super fast turn around time. I went in with no appointment for an aging mac battery replacement and it was done in an hour and a half, mac was 6 years old and full of dust so I got a service at the same time. They made it clear what I was buying (explaining the options of which battery replacements I could go with) work comes with a 6 month warranty. They absolutely deserve the 5☆ rating. Shame I can't give 6.

Updating this previous review, I'd like to reaffirm how friendly and helpful the staff are. I water damaged my phone, and as a returning customer they offered to diagnose and even clean it for free, which was very generous. I didn't decide to go through with a full repair, but was very grateful for their work and honesty.
From a few months ago:
The staff are very friendly and helpful, and return time is fast (unless they need to order something, of course). Although there was a problem with the first repair and I had to return my laptop, the problem was addressed at no additional cost (even though a new charging port had to be ordered). Happy to recommend to anyone.

I had a crisis when my laptop (MacBook) suddenly died before a month's fieldwork. The guys went well beyond the call of duty to ensure that I had something to take the very next day - in this case, a second hand machine in very good nick, with my data added. This is the man to go to with your computer crisis. The first laptop I brought in had motherboard failure and was not worth repairing. After running tests, Scott told me this and gave me back my laptop free of charge. A year later I came in with another laptop, for which Scott ordered the required part (second hand and at a fraction what it would cost new which suited me very well) and fitted it for a very reasonable service charge and sent me on my merry way. So Scott is a very pleasant chap, he charges far less than everyone else does, his work and labour is merely £35 all said and done obviously you have to buy the parts for him to fix, he fixed it promptly and gave me a timescale which was spot on, would use him again if ever i need again... Very satisfied with it all... Oh and a side note... He doesn't take any money off you until he has done the job and fixed your computer 😊

Great service and price - I'd already taken my base unit to a different business to be fixed, yet the underlying problem persisted and ultimately got worse. Scott had the solution within a day, the unit back to me 2 days (following parts delivery) and advice on what upgrades I could include in the future. Completely recommend for any PC repairs.

My computer needed some updating and I was really impressed with Connor's knowledge and helpfulness throughout. The customer service was excellent and he was happy to spend time chatting through my questions in detail and was very friendly. They really know their stuff and are reasonable too. After a quick turnaround my computer is now working perfectly. Would highly recommend and will definitely be using again!

My computer screen stopped working suddenly while I was traveling. They were able to diagnose the problem very quickly, recommend several ways to fix the issue and got the new parts ordered and replaced all within three days. Definitely a lifesaver when I was only in Bristol for a short time and needed my computer back!

Just wanted to say Thank you to all the guys at Personic. My girlfriend was having problems with her laptop that wouldn't load windows. She took it into the guys at Personic and within 3 hours and for more than half of what she was quoted at another shop, her Laptop was back up and running good as new!!!

If you've ever lost a wallet, a set of keys, some marbles, you'll know what it's like to have somebody return them to you when you think all is lost.
Ian and David and their team at I Love My PC saved so much work (twice after a power surge) I can't even tell you, and did so with grace, with humility and no promises. I'm sure they can't fix everything, but they'd give it a good go. These are people I would 100% trust with all our business equipment due to their honesty and expertise. And also they're remarkably good value. And Human. And Local. And bloody lovely.

I explained the situation with my overheating PC and was told that it most likely wouldn't be the part i thought was the culprit. I was then advised by the technician, and we agreed on trying something else first before investing in something more expensive. I got home and followed the advice given and it was an instant fix! from 90+ degrees Celsius down to 35-40. I am very surprised with this companies honesty and professionalism, as i could of easily spent a lot more. Highly recommended!

The guys at Computerhire are very professional and provide a fantastic service.
They always price competitively and have never once pressured us into getting any work or upgrades done that weren't completely essential (which is a very important point as far as I'm concerned as I know nothing about these things!!) and have found us great savings on things we do need.
Their work is speedy and they always follow the job through making sure we are left 'ready to go' and not just left to work the final things out for ourselves!

I had Peter build a custom gaming pc and he was great. His advice was always on the sensible side ( trying to save me money, instead of extorting me ) and his work was excellent. I got everything I wanted out of it; reused my own components when feasible and upgraded the parts I wanted to improve. The machine runs perfectly and looks great. Peter also went above and beyond. He picked my old PC up from my home and delivered the finished one to me. What more could I ask for? Definitely recommended!

Really poor service. Wanted my phone screen replaced. Dropped it round and was told it would be ready the next day. I didn't hear anything so I text and emailed the next day. Didn't get a response so I had to call. When I called I was told that it now wouldn't be ready for another two days. I had to go and pick my phone up as I needed it for the weekend. Agreed I would drop it back in on the Monday when the parts were delivered. Then received a text saying that different coloured parts had been ordered (silver rather than rose gold) which I was okay with although not ideal. Then I was told that only the screen had arrived and asked whether I was happy with a different coloured screen and back which I replied no. The back of my phone had been damaged as a result of the ''repairer" getting into my phone when he originally had it. So now I have a phone with a damaged back and still a cracked screen so I am worse off.
Seriously I wouldn't bother with this so called company which is one man operating from his home. I have since text on two occasions to ask if the correct coloured parts could be ordered and heard nothing.
One very dissapointed customer.
28th May - the problem has now been rectified and I was only charged for the cost of the parts, which was appreciated. Phone was repaired to a good standard so now happy after a long wait. Thank you for getting this sorted.

I found my (very old) IPod in the loft and it had a shattered case and no battery life- these guys fixed it while sourcing spares that are becoming rare. Took a couple of weeks to sort and my iPod works like new now- thanks👍

Open til 10pm-11pm to do post office business from the shop counter including postal money order. They stock a good range of food including ICE. Service always fast and efficient, even with a line. Free cash machine out front. SO HANDY!

Post office is open from 7am to 11pm monday to sundays this post office lets you do post office stuff from 7am until 11pm staff are really polite and really helpful also you can do shopping in there aswell as it ain't just a post office p.s most post office are only open from 9am to 5.30pm but not this post office it's open from 7am to 11pm and it lets you get monies out or buy stamps pay for bills from time it opens to the time it closed there is also post office cash point machine right outside

My partner and I use this post-office for our business. We use it probably 5 days a week, and have always experienced incredibly friendly and thoughtful service. I have been a customer of this Post Office for several years, sending parcels at least 3 times a week and
have always found the staff to be extremely helpful and polite. I have decided to write this upon reading some of the other reviews that have been posted. I myself have been present on more than one occasion whilst the Post Office staff have had abuse and insults thrown at them for no apparent reason and I found that the staff have always dealt with these irate customers in a respectful manor.
I have also witnessed the staff go beyond their duties to help customers so I feel some of the reviews are unjust...........PERHAPS THOSE CUSTOMERS WERE HAVING A BAD DAY IN GENERAL!!!!!
I have never once had to complain about anything and I will certainly be a customer of Bedminster Parade Post Office for several years to come.

I have never experienced such fowl customer services before. This post office has to be the worst in Bristol. Firstly the small short Asian lady behind the post office counter is so rude, she thinks she can speak to people what ever way she wants. She needs to carry out a customer services experience course to understand how you should deal with different types of customer. She thinks she can talk down to people.
What happened to me is that I sent a letter 1st class recored delivery to my sister hoping that she will receive is no later then 2 days, but later reviled that my sister recieved it a week later, now I know what the asian counter staff meant when they said "do you think your letter will get there on time" now I understand what he meant by that. I still cant believe I have to give 1 star.
I'm going to get to the Asian guy that is behind the till in the shop, well this guy dont understand nothing, this guy has a chip on his shoulder, he needs to calm down if he wants to trade in bedminister. The way he talks to people it comes across so rude and threatening also never willing to help.
I have taken time to write this review as I want people to see what this post office is like, all the other good review have to be fake as I have seen couple of them working in the shop. Also I have gone to head office with my complaint as I feel that they do not do justice representing the postoffice franchise.

Wow, this is the best post office in the world. I am in here every day posting my items and have never experienced such warm customer service on a daily basis. Lovely staff who are always keen to help you in anyway they can, unrivalled drinks selection and great scratch cards. I am proud to call the staff at Bedminster Post Office my friends.

The new post office in WHS is an absolute nightmare. Only one counter open (or two maximum if you are lucky) and a manager who is "supervising". One poor guy running like a headless chicken looking after 8 self-service systems..Long queues most of the time. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS SERVICE.

What a mess! The worst customer service I have had in years! Only one counter open and self service that always needs assisstance. Staff were standoffish and acted like they cant really be bothered. The manager asked me if i would want to come back in the morning! I know it was 15 min to closing time but i never exepected they would be so lazy as to turn people away. Wouldn't uses again if it were the only post office between here and London!

I have recently moved to the area and have started to use this post office in preference to one that I used to use (which I do when I am in the area)
There are only two counters and do expect a queue at busy times and you do need to know what you require this does help speed things up at the counter
To avoid too many queues try going before lunch and then you know your parcel will definitely go that day
They do everything from currency and all the usual postal needs, from recorded to specials and parcels

Awful customer service. The MANAGER picked up his phone whilst I had to wait for him to finish to post my items, then I got told that “He is the manager” and that he can “do what he wants” ( his own words) I suggest posting from the cooperative etc, do not waste your time as they will only waste yours followed by extremely unacceptable behaviour.

A periodical need to come here and pay bills and naturally first port of call if I needed stamps. I expect to also come here and sort out one's Passport and Driving Licence when I need to.
I do recall the old Crown Office literally feet away in Cannon Street (now a William Hill betting shop) but this modern shop unit I find is good.
Staff have been efficient and pleasant. I note for what I need it can also be handled at the counter by the door.
Which is very helpful as it can get extremely busy at times and one can't even get in the door!
Still it works and is needed. So the Post Office Crown Office is still a part of the landscape. I cannot fault it.

Took a passport in there for check and send yesterday 11/2/19, was charged £9.85 for this service but the manager of the store wasn't experienced in the way the form had to be filled out. She told me I'd filled it in incorrectly and that I had to go away and redo it and still charged me £9.85. I wasnt convinced that she was right, as she said a new rule had come in! So I rang passport office and they comfirmed that basically she didn't have a clue what she was talking about and shed gave me the wrong information!!! So i went bk in to comfront her and she was very rude saying that she was right,so after she rang her office then passport office she then confirmed that SHE WAS WRONG, I then argued a refund for the check and send price which I finally got. Seriously poor service and no knowledge of correct procedure for passports, will never use that store again utterly disgusted.

Would give no stars, if I could. Rarely open when it's supposed to be. Makeshift signs saying closed, but no indication when it will be open again. When asked, staff say it opens at 6am, but would be more helpful if open in Sundays and evening after work, as the post office website says.

They sent my parcel to yatton in error they said it would be re routes immediately 3 days later no movement also I payed for 2-3 day delivery estimate I have still not received my parcel it was a Christmas present for my parents I was highly embarrassed when it did not show if there was a lower rating I would give it for the lies and me paying the extra money assuring me it would be here for Christmas I had to get last minute presents which weren’t half as good so I had to pay for that as well I am very dissapointed and they haven’t offered any compensation even though it still hasn’t arrived avoid this company at all cost

The most poor service I received ever!!!
I wanted to post a parcel. I had no packaging material at home and I thought I buy one in the store. I found one and bough it. It's pretty inconvenient that the packaging materials are sold separately by the store McColl's, so have to queue twice when even you need an envelope.
But what was really frustrating that I wanted to send the parcel with signed 1st class service and the branch had no sign form. Consequently the lady advised me to visit another branch. There was no any sign form, it's a joke.
I did not want to waste my time to go to another store, so I waived my signature request. Than I asked the lady if she could put a seal to the edge of the parcel, because I bought the PostOffice carton box there which contained no any sticker for sealing. The lady refused sealing the parcel by saying that she has nothing to seal the parcel with. It's really another joke and shame. I think she rather did not want to find even a small sticker to place it on my parcel.

The shop staff are usually friendly. However I had a very poor experience with the post office counter staff. I have never experienced such an argumentative person in a customer service position before. I asked for her help - a small piece of sellotape to stick down a faulty address label on my parcel. She told me that i had to go back to the shop, buy a roll of sellotape and queue again to send the parcel. When I politely expressed my surprise that she couldn't offer me that small assistance, she harangued me. She harangued me a second time time and put words into my mouth after I had queued a second time to send the parcel. I understand that she may have been operating within post office guidelines. However, her attitude and response were quite shocking. I left before I lost my temper, with her shouting after me.

I thought it was just me, but after reading, I can see that it definitely isn’t. Although I have a business where I use the Royal Mail every day and this is my closest Post Office, we actively go further and have opened a business drop and go account with another post office as the staff, and one person in particular is so openly rude and bullish that we just didn’t want that in our day. Weirdly defensive for no reason: as i sometimes have large quantities of parcels, I have scales and the letter measurements at home so I can organise them so I’m less time in the queue when I can’t use drop and go. I asked if I should start with the large letters or small packages first. She got so offended that I had done this. She for some reason presumed I was trying to tell her how to do her job. This was my first experience— every experience since has been as bad. Every time I have been, without fail, they have been rude at or about a customer right in front of them, or, as they’re leaving in front of another customer. Once I was tired as I’d had a rough night and had some bad news I was dealing with, one of them told me to “wake up”— you can’t write this stuff, it’s so bad.

Me and my girlfriend went down there to send a medium parcel with a few books inside only weighing 2kg cause of box and the staff on shift tried to get her to pay 20 pounds to send it off. She had a second class stamp all signed for but she said that it was too heavy for that which it wasn't as a 2kg second class is 5.05. We tried to explain that and she got rude at us telling us basically to pay the 20 pound or to go away. They need to sort things out there as they are clearly ripping people off!

Investing your money in a bank that only funds environmentally conncious projects is a great way of making a difference. One of the biggest steps an individual can take and it will barely cause any inconvenience. I have found Tridos to be as good as my previous bank.

One major problem encountered - which received a pretty dismissive response from the Customer Services team - although to be fair it's more of a strategic issue than a day - day operational problem.
I attempted to pay a large cash sum from a pension into my Triodos current account. The pensions company (a large UK insurance firm) was unable to make the payment as Triodos are not on their list of approved banks for anti money laundering purposes. Fortunately I was able to make the payment into a current account I have with one of the big four banks. The point - which I attempted to make to Triodos customer services - is that while Triodos might consider itself a 'real' bank there are significant and major issues which they need to address before they are able to offer a full banking service. Clearly Triodos is not yet seen as an established member of the UK financial services sector.
That said the day - day operation of the Triodos current account seems to be working well so far though limitations such as no overdraft, lack of branches, difficulty of paying in cash etc. may cause difficulties for some customers. On a positive note pretty much anything you need to do in terms of configuring the current account and debit card can be done easily on line. One feature which I find exceptionally useful and a security 'plus' is the text message which can be set for card debit transactions. The text usually pings on my phone before I've left the store. Other useful features such as balance updates, warning if balance drops below x etc. All in all for day-day use the Triodos current account is now my account of choice. Well worth the £3.00 a month, even though other (possibly less ethical) banks provide 'free' banking.
There is a lack of integration within their internet banking system which means that as an existing customer a full application form has to be completed in order to apply for e.g. a savings account. Triodos also (strangely nowadays) uses snail mail a lot for communication. Again this is an indication of the lack of integration within Internet Banking.
At this stage I would say use Triodos for its ethical views (which can at times be somewhat extreme,one sided and lack nuance), the ways it tries to manage money for social good and ease of use and security of their current account. But for serious banking which may involve cross institutional money transfers, overdrafts, loans etc. stay with one of the major players

I have used HSBC for about 20 years now, in fact I own several board lots of shares and have done since I worked in Hong Kong in the 90s. From the last days of it being Midland bank, just before being bought out.
Whilst not the closest bank to me, far from it, I haven't really had any negative experiences with HSBC or this branch so I foresee my continued use.

I recently went to the Branh to get help with urgent Bank statements, The Customer Service officer promptly understood my needs, printed the necessary information and similarly organised the usual statements to be sent to my home. Although a 15 mins mtg, I was left very impressed with this very profesional service, from beginnning to end. Well done for this excellent work and do keep this great service up!

Tried to change small amount of money from cash to coins at your Barclays branch 86 Queens Road, after 15 min of queuing I've been told by older gentleman behind the counter that he needs to know the reason and purpose of use for the coins (do I need to confess what I spend my money for in front of 10 people in a queue??) and that I'm breaking T&C of my account. My understanding was that banks are to provide money services to its customers but apparently older gentleman's vision was different. Due to level of service I decided to cancel the transaction. I am considering switching to another bank, I went to several branches to discuss details. In every single one staff were helpful and polite, they told me everything I wanted to know.
Not in HSBC. I was talking to a millenial girl who was acting like I was causing her great pain just by talking to her - it was Saturday ~ 10 AM, I was the only customer in the bank and I wanted to ask some questions about HSBC's products.
I read about bank's offer on the website before going to the branch, but I went anyway to ask some additional questions. For every question I asked I got "it is literally all on the website!" with eyes rolling and the tone of voice suggesting that the only thing she wants is to make me leave as soon as possible. If EVERYTHING is on the website, then what's the point of employing a person like her in the first place? I bet that any chatbot would do a far better job than a person angry at the entire world just because she has to work.
HSBC was my primary candidate for switching, but after that display of customer service I am not even considering this company anymore. It's good that I know how it looks now, rather than when I am their customer.

This bank is AWFUL!!!!! You can't get through on the phone EVER!!!
I put MY cash in ..the same day they mistakenly charged a cheque from another customer on to MY account for £350
I had to inform them...they didn't know!!!
The manager said (in person, as I said they don't answer the phones)
she rectified THEIR ERROR!!! SHE STILL HAS NOT!!! I CAN'T GET AN ANSWER OR MY MONEY OUT!!!! DONT BANK HERE. THEY ARE DREADFUL!!!!!!!!

Fantastic service. Went into branch to cancel my direct debit. There was a big queue but someone approached me with an IPad, he was lovely I later found out he was the manager ! He showed me how to do it on my phone and then I found out they could give me money every month for my bank account. Very friendly would definitely recommend

Absolutely horrific. Disorganized. Unknowledgeable.
Went for an appointment on the 18th of December only to be directed to a person who was "attending to an entirely different job", spent about 20 minutes trying to look for someone who could attend to me before she herself took me on, utterly disinterested. She then said I needed to print a letter I had shown her an electronic version of - fair enough. Everything seemed to be in order, it was simply that she needed a paper copy of the letter. She instructs me to come back the next day at midday and that she will tell her colleagues to expect me and help me as soon as possible. I come back the next day only to be dismissed immediately and almost turned back by a manager citing short-handedness as the issue even though I was supposed to be expected back. As I explain what transpired the day before, they rudely ask for confirmation and personal ID. They direct me to an employee that looked incredibly and entirely displeased to see me. I have never felt so unwelcome anywhere. The employee spends the better part of 10 minutes scouring the letter from the uni (about 2 paragraphs confirming my address) which I printed off earlier only to later tell me that it wasn't acceptable as it didn't have the EXACT room number I was living in, something that was NEVER mentioned to me the day before when I was in. As I explained to her that the employee I had seen the day before said everything was in order, the only response I got was a "sorry" as she continuously scrolled, paying NO attention to me. I was shown the door and that was that.
A terrible experience through and through. I am enraged at the manner in which I was treated at a seemingly reputed bank. Your staff were entirely unhelpful and unsympathetic. Absolutely appalling customer service - or to be more accurate, the lack-thereof. Safe to say, will never be back.

Avoid Barclays! As an international student I found it very difficult to even get an appointment to open an account. I came to the Broadmead branch and they sent me to a different branch who then told me I needed to get a letter from the University before I could even get an appointment (which nobody told me when I started the process in the first place!) Once I got the letter the other branch sent me back to Broadmead. I finally got the account open and the app wont recognize my phone number and online it won't accept my CV code. The info from PinSentry reader that (I finally received) didn't work either. And after a few weeks of having the card it got declined because they decided to replace my card for no reason.

If there is no decent PC repair shop in your area, send you storage device to data recovery lab from the nearest post office. You can pay for recovery services or software registration at any bank.
Stop using the device where you used to keep the deleted data.
Work of the operating system, installation of programs, and even the ordinary act of connecting a disk, USB drive or smartphone to the computer will create new files that might overwrite the deleted data - and thus make the recovery process impossible. The best solution would be to shut down the computer of power off your phone and outline an action plan. If turning off the device is impossible, try to use it as little as possible.
Make up a list of devices where the necessary files have been saved.
Try to remember the chain of events from creating the files to deleting them. You may have received them by email, downloaded from the Internet, or you may have created them on another PC and then brought them home on a USB drive. If the files in question are personal photos or videos, they can still be available on the memory card of your camera or smartphone. If you received the information from someone else - ask them for help. The sooner you do it the more chances you have to recover what is lost.
Use the list of devices to check them for the missing files, their backup copies or, at least, the chance to recover the deleted data from such devices.
