Very very poor service. Charge me extra for my parcel and when I asked for refund she was making faces and being very rude. Staff looks miserable and very unwelcome .

Would not recommend using this p o on a Sunday!!! Was pointed to the counter & then totally ignored, she served people as they came to the shop counter even though I was next in the queue. When she got to the 4th person & started chatting I decided to leave. Luckily, on my way home found another p o open, they were much more helpful & will be getting all my eBay business in future.

On Wednesday 1st March 2017. I had occasion to visit this P O. The staff were brilliant and I was able to register a complicated Vehicle transfer within 3 to 5 minutes ! Well done!!

I use this PO every week and they have never let me down. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff and 100% reliable.

Recently visited, found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and friendly. A member of staff jumped on the till to serve me even though I was the only one in the queue (waiting for the other cashier) and hadn't been waiting long.

Such a friendly post office and really went above and beyond with making recommendations of packaging that would save me money :)

I feel so sorry for the staff here. Completely understaffed. Parking very difficult, not royal mail's problem but does compound the frustration when queueing for such long periods. Hopefully a manager will read this and support the counter staff.

I never received a something for you card when my parcel was missed on Christmas eve. I need the parcel for tomorrow now and as I work in retail I have been unable to come and collect it untill today. I explained this to the man behind the desk and his reply was. That's not my problem, we are open late on Wednesdays. The last two Wednesdays have been Christmas day and new year's day. Understandably you've been closed both those days. The man was cold and blunt and didn't even ackloledge his mistake. He refused to listen to the fact that I never received a something for you card so was physically unable to bring it in with me and made no effort whatsoever so help. I asked to speak to a manager and again he shrugged and said there wasn't one on sight. Which explains how he was able to get away woth this attitude. I said the whole system was ridiculous and he just replied again woth that's your problem not mine. I haven never been so shocked before at the horrendous attitude of a grown man working in a customer service position. Some empathy training or perhaps just training in general should be implemented. I fully understand you have rules but under the circumstances any form of trying to help me would have been appriciated. On another note the out of date system that is used for missed deliveries is appalling. We live in an age where technology is at our fingertips every single day yet there is no way of digitally proving that my parcel was missed. I had the tracking number, address, the email saying my delivery was missed. Everything. How is that any different from a red scrap of paper saying it was missed? A large improvement to the system is clearly needed as I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels this was.

The untold hours I've spent gazing awkwardly around this contemporary cubicle of apprehension. It's an old friend now.

So slow here. You think a place primarily for collections could work a little more efficiently.

Service a little slow but what do you expect? They’re busy sorting and keeping the mail service running.

Promotion of self-service stations in this branch is hurting the customers! While there are 5 self service, which stood unused during my half-hour (!) wait in line, only one of the 3 customer service windows was staffed. Enough with this lopsided logic of promoting self-service stations!!! Most of us clearly don’t want it, we want to be helped by real people instead of supporting automation and unemployment!

Went to collect BRP. Google maps showed the wrong road, and had to take a long path instead of the direct one (which I realized later as then I was new in city). Also, the route went through a private property and almost got me in trouble. Anyways, got my token, sat for 40 minutes as other customers were served before me. However, once I reached the counter things went quick. Go with plenty of time to spare.

Being called a liar and insulted by a rude and aggressive member of staff called "Brett" isn't what I expect from customer service. Hate to say I might consider complaining to someone higher up and would propose dismissal. Terrible.

Went in as I was in town and I needed a form checked, bluntly told I didn't have the 'updated' version of the form I needed to submit. Another cashier had to 'take over', and instead of waiting 20 seconds for me to fill my name on the form she served other customers so I had to wait my turn again! I was missing some ID, I politely apologised I said I would come back another time. She was rude and said "you've just wasted your own time" and then looking for the next customer to serve. I left feeling quite upset, and it's not the first time I experienced bad customer service in there. Always long waiting times in there and only a few members of staff serving, I rarely come across someone who wants to help!

I been going to the Post Office in Princesshay for a couple years now. The premises is nice, it's got everything you need for packaging, stationary, etc. This branch is very busy, expect long waits. If you didn't want to wait too long and have a parcel to post there is a self-service machine down the very end of the post office. This sometimes has waits too. The waiting area in the post office is good, you have a few seats to sir down, the seating is comfortable. I have put the rating as so not for the premises itself, rather the service I personally been given. There are some really smiley and lovely staff that are very happy to help you, they are extremely helpful and really are amazing. Unfortunately this is let down by the fact that there are a good few staff members that I find to have a bad attitude towards me, even some that have been very snappy and condescending to me. I have had had one member of staff tell me I was wasting time by going to the tills with a parcel when there is a "perfectly good self service machine". Being spoken down to isn't my idea of good service. So when I go down to the self service (Which a member of staff controls, and approves the delivery too) I ask an honest question as I unfortunately do suffer with difficults. I asked the staff member about the first class option, before I could finish they snapped "There is only one first class option" whilst openly rolling her eyes at me. She presses the option for me as if I was an incapable child. I look at the staff member and said as I wanted to say in the first place "I want the recorded/signed for". The staff member huffed and said "That's something completely different! You should of asked! Now you are going to have to start from the beginning!" huffs at me again and then walks away. I may not read human emotions like everyone else but I just felt low, I felt like a nuisance. Really made me feel so small. I don't understand. I asked as I didn't understand. That's why I go to the counter a lot as they can sort it much better and send the parcel without issue. The member of staff as they were putting stamp on my parcel completely blanked me like i wasnt even thete after. As i left I said "thank you, have a lovely day" as I always say. Nothing back, didnt even acknowledge me. That's the most recent situation but I have had many in the past unfortunately that just makes me not want to go back. I can understand customer service jobs can be very stressful and can be frustrating. However I would never talk or treat anyone with that level of attitude. I could give more situations but to be it follows the same pattern. They are very helpful with my ASOS returns and Amazon returns this past couple year, but unfortunately I am just a little tired of feeling like I have bothered, angered and annoyed the staff. I ask questions as I get confused. But instead of help I get criticised, spoken down to, information in a condescending manner and just made to feel and look stupid. If you have any parcel and postal needs, feel free to visit but unfortunately I am no longer going in.

Small post office counter inside the Clyst St Mary Londis. Operated by the same staff so if it's busy in the shop you might be waiting a while!

Staff rude, unhelpful, and carry on like they’re doing you the worlds biggest favour, if they’re ever there. Only once out of my ten attempts to use this post office as per their published opening times have I found them open. On that one occasion I was told I was lucky as it was her last sticky label.

When the post office counter is open it's fine. Sadly however the opening times are unreliable. I have now visited three times in two weeks to find post office counter has closed early which is frustrating after a 15 minute walk with a heavy parcel. Would probably be a goid idea to train more staff to be able to man the post office section if you want to retain customers as that is the only reason I go to this shop in the first place but will buy other items while in there.

No staff available this afternoon so not open. Please keep Google Maps up to date.

The other reviews are sadly correct. Two failed visits to post parcels, this morning told they are closed until Monday due to a lack of staff. Will use friendly and efficient St Thomas instead!

Never open , staff very unhelpful

Opening hours are inconvenient for people who work, they could open at 8 or stay open til 6 at least one day a week (the one at the uni is open til 6, and students are the ones with more flexible schedules). Long queues as well.

As an existing customer that had just moved to the area, it was good to be able to go in branch and change our address for all of our accounts. We were informed we could do it online - but it was nice to have some assurance from the very helpful staff.

Brilliant bank, staff are great and waiting times aren't very long.

ATM stole my deposit, It crashed and I didn't get it in my account.

Helpful staff

Went into this branch on Saturday to open an account. We had an appointment with Nicholas who couldn't of been more helpful. He answered all our questions and was really clear in the information he gave. He also really helped us by doing a quote for home insurance at the same time which was really appreciated.

Total mayhem, as after no envelopes dispensing from both machines outside this branch the ones inside were only accepting cheques NOT cash, I then informed the member of staff on my way over to the large queue, only to be told by the cashier that I need to put cash in the machines & pointed me to where I had just been, UNBELIEVABLE!

I recently joined the Halifax. Wish I hadn't bothered. I said I didn't want internet banking and preferred telephone banking. AT NO POINT was I told I'd need then to send me a security code by post. Now I try to transfer money to a friend in an emergency and I'm told I either have to do it in branch, or wait until they send me a code through the post. Have we give back to the 90s? Will be transferring my account back to Yorkshire Bank asap
