Always use this post office as the staff are very friendly and helpful and the service is excellent

Small town corner shop. Great staff, variety of services available. Nearby parking available. I have never had to wait longer than a couple of minutes to get served.

I and my family use this post office and shop at least once a week. I have sent my unaccompanied children here when I have been unable to make the journey. I have always found the post-master and his staff polite, friendly, engaging and always willing to help clarify things when needed. The staff of the adjoining shop are always courteous and helpful and watching them interact with their regular customers (many of whom they know by name) is the very definition of community service. In my mind, Hollybush Post Office is a credit to Royal Mail Post Office Network.

This is my local Post Office. The staff are extremely nice and will go the extra mile for their customers. I've been using this PO for almost 6 years, and I've never had any problems with the staff. Excellent service despite the long queues.

If I could give this post office no stars then I would believe me. I have been here twice recently and the staff that served me are rude and arrogant. In fact there was a problem with one of my parcels scanning and I asked the man not once but twice if there was a problem and he just ignored me. After the first time of bad service I only used them again as I went shopping at Morrinsons when they first opened and that is the only post office that is open that time of the morning. In future I will be avoiding them like the plague.

Shocking experience today (30 March 2019) in my local shop/fleetville post office that i have been using for 7 years (O star doesn't seem to be an option so i have put 1 star). There with 9 year old son to post something. Nobody at post office counter so i was called over to the other counter by staff. Waited my turn. While waiting, a person who entered shop while i was actually second in line was served instead of me despite me now being first in line. I didn't say anything. After that person was served the shop worker is now dealing with my letter just a first class UK stamp which should only take a moment, but he now leaves me because there is somebody who wants to buy shop stuff at the other till. At this point, i say excuse me that is the second time that you are serving other people instead of me. He mumbles something about serving shop people first. Post master now appears through the doors and effectively starts shouting at me in the presence of my son (and the other customers) that the shop takes priority over the post office. I said that doesn't seem to be written anywhere. Still speaking down to me disparagingly and shouts at me that it is obvious amongst other things. He actually stopped the assistant from taking my letter as they normally do and threw it at me so i would take it round to the post box outside myself (which i duly did). I was just completely taken aback as this is the local place i have used on hundreds of occasions. I told him that i am a parent with kids at the local school that has used his shop for years (as i assumed he should have realised) and that it is completely unacceptable the way he is speaking to a customer who waited his turn who was being perfectly polite with his colleague. The place has Post Office emblazoned all over it, but apparently you only get served if there are no other people trying to buy stuff. Pleased that i have this forum to recount my experience.

Tonight an officious, angry man immediately told me no bicycles allowed. Are they dirtier than shoes that have worked on sites or walked through canine excrement? I didn't ask the question as the disgusting attitude of this angry person immediately told me the customer is not a person to be respected and thanked for loyalty in a small village with 3 virtually identical shops selling the same range of products. I will never, ever go there again and will advise my friends accordingly.

I have been banking here for over 30 years. No problem with other branches, but this branch has always exceeded itself. Staff are great & should you have a problem you will invariably see someone face to face. To me that's always good. Their head office in Swindon is also very helpful. Plus they belt out terrific adverts. Snuff said.

I called on Monday 24th February with a rather complicated urgent problem which I could not see a way of solving. I received excellent advice from Matt Harris Assistant maager who tallked it through with me and came up with a solution which solved the problem. Very grateful . Very pleasant and helpful young man and also helpful pleasant counter staff.Highly recommended.

The only place that helped me. I'm British, but no longer a UK resident. This branch changed three old 10 pound notes for new ones for me. Extremely helpful. Lloyds Bank wouldn't because I didn't have an account with them. Natwest - same thing. Two Post Offices just refused to change them. Absolutely no flexibility. I've subsequently learned, they can do this, but don't have to. Thanks Halifax, but thanks especially to the lady member of staff who helped me as walked in. So sorry I don't remember her name - began with Z though.

I tried to open an account for my daughter and arrived armed with ID etc. I was told that no one was available to assist and to go online to open it! When we did this we were then told to go the brand with ID......! I am not very impressed.

I visited Halifax in Welwyn Garden City recently to enquire about the accounts they offered: the sales floor was deserted and, the two guys behind the counter were less than versed in how to treat potential customers in a professional manner.

I visited today Lloyds at WGC and have been served today by Miss Jasmina Bukir. No doubt it was my really best in branch experience. Very professional and friendly service. Easy 10 out of 10 :)

Arrived 30 seconds before closing with a wheel chair bound client. Bank staff were welcoming and more than happy to accommodate us past closing time. Service was excellent, efficient considerate and friendly. The staff should be commended for awesome customer service. Today's experience makes me proud to be a Lloyds customer.

A UK High Street Institution; the reliable bank

So you go in to ask for advice on why your debit card was blocked (suspicious transaction) only to be told your debit card is unsafe and high risk and 'would you like one of our credit cards?'. Erm, it is your debit card and if they are so risky, why do you issue them? Alternatively, ask for an account balance and they'll ask if you want an account review (sell loans, insurance, more cards etc). Be prepared if you dare venture inside, you could be a while.

As much as I have no criticism of inside the branch, can you please put deposit envelopes in the machine outside your branch. For those of us that work full time and are avid onliners whenever I do have to deposit a cheque there are never any envelopes. Tonight is my second wasted visit. Very annoying!!

It took some time to get an appointment, but the associate there was really nice and explained all details about a new account. However, the cashiers are not patient. Unfortunately they have closed their branch which was inside University of Hertfordshire.

Horrible customer serves, went there twice to change my location details and no one bothered to ask or offered to help me. There's was only one booth open but always occupied and the other one is always empty. I got tired of going there so I just decided to join LLOYDS BANK instead, thanks to your poor customer serves LLOYDS just got themselves a new customer. Not pleased at all and won't bother again with that branch.

Opened up a joint account today with my partner, and got seen to by Rani. Super smooth process, and they were absolutely wonderful and really helpful

I went to this branch as already holding a Barclays account - I wanted to open another account. Guess what? They could process my application because of IT outage! The lady helpful suggestion I do online - wrong! I subsequently found out all accounts applications require you to be in the branch! Very poor... It's dented my opinion of Barclays. 7/12/16 Update: A recent visit to Barclays Welwyn proved a lot easier with a very helpful staff member. Upgrading the score by one one star! 15/12/16 Update:Another visit to Barclays Welwyn finally made me decided to leave Barclays. I had trouble using the mobile app &, I called the Help Line which did not sort the problem out. They gave me a error code to take to the branch - I present this at the branch only to be told 'they new nothing' about the error code. Absolutely disgusted with Barclays....

Visiting this branch was the worst experience with Barclays for the past 8 years! I was assisted for depositing the money (which was fine) then wanted to change my address while I was there. But the staff actually complained a bit that every time if they help changing address for the customers they need to check everything (before she complained, I did politely say that if it is not because of moving home, I could change it online but things are unpack yet. She said NOTHING after I said that!)... I mean REALLY?! This is the service the bank should provide and to make people's life easier and more convenient. My experience with Barclays in London has always been great, but I was very disappointed today, and I am actually thinking of changing my bank (only thing I wanted to stay with Barclays due to its great service). I did not argue and being unpleasant to the lady, as she looks older than my mom. Maybe it is not fair to blame her as there were only 4 staffs there, and it is in a town... Maybe they have less/no practice with high intensity/pressure work, too chilled with their life.

Branch now full of computerized self service machines. Which seldom work and spit back half the notes that you put in, and you have to do a separate transaction to bank cash and cheques. The most irritating thing is that there is the same amount of staff in there as there was when it was a 'normal' branch. Except the staff are now just standing next to the stupid computer showing people how to use it. Could they not have just kept the staff behind the counter and had a couple of machines for people who want to use them??? Personally I like dealing with 'people' and am strongly considering closing my Barclays accounts and moving to a bank where I can deal with a human being over the counter not a computer!

I was a member of staff at NatWest for 15 years I went in to Welwyn garden city branch on Friday to with draw from mine and my daughters account counter staff where very rude and abrupt telling me that the counter doesn’t open till 10am and that they had told me about which no they never have and then questioning me about the account saying that we can’t use it anymore as my daughter is too old but the previous month never said a word???? Well NatWest you have lost out I have changed all payments coming in to the account and will be closing it. When I said to the member of staff about there is nothing on the Webb site to let you know about the hours of the counter was told very abruptly they don’t have to put it on there but I would have thought they should do that people know very angry 😡😡😡

Natwest really need to invest in this branch. Dilapidated and a mixed bag of staff, some are extremely helpful, others are rude and unfriendly. More often or not there are large queue's. We've moved to Barclays and the service is a million times better.

Last visited in 2009, staff weren't particularly helpful, left and switched everything to Barclays

It will be 5 stars when access to pay-in machine becomes available out of opening hours. I have to use my lunch break to pay in if I need to.

Rubbish custom service Absolutely RUBBISH

Went in to sort out the finances (obvs), only greeted by 5* customer service that i would expect in 3* michelin restaurant. and just a special hats off to the young man Jack. this is the first ever review in response to good customer service i have ever left.

I pay in money every week and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There just isn’t enough of them, sometimes I have to wait up to 30 minutes to be seen. The machines are useless if you want to pay in coins like I do. It’s all just very very slow.

Closed on Wednesdays now?

Went there to close my business bank account that I opened there as well. A lady told me that there are no possible booking to do that and to send a letter myself to do all the process. I asked to suggest a branch where I can close the account, answer: "Sorry I do not have access to a machine at the moment and cannot check this with you". Non existent customer service from the branch as I called Barclays, explained what I needed to do and they did it for my via phone.

has to be the worst bank i have ever used,staff at times can be very blunt and kind of snappish,i go to pay in money and am told not asked why do i not put in ,in an envelope,i have tried this before and does not show up on my account until the next day,i need it to show on my account straight away so i can pay my bills,if i am late paying my bills i am charged,oh and have sent my daughter in to bank money for me for her to be told on numerous times,if you don't bank here we should not take the money but will do you a favour this time,bloody stupid,this after standing in a queue for the best part of 45 minutes sometimes an hour,what has the world come too.have banked with barclays over 40years but am seriously thinking about moving elsewhere,then the aggro of changing all my direct debits,so stuck at this time.

Always closed when I need to go there closed at lunch time all day Thursday and Saturday but half the staff are friendly must change banks

Friendly staff but they're closed between 1-2 pm which is really inconvenient. I wasn't sure why seeing that there was three members of staff working.

Website says it’s open to 1pm. I arrived at the store at 11am to find it was closed.

Disgraceful service, has been nearly a month since some fraudulent activity has happened on my wife's account, Went into local branch to report they said someone will call me back within 3 days, no call back, called 3 times again and went back to the branch was told again someone will call me back still nobody does, clearly they do not care how they treat their customers. Now they tell me someone will call me back but they don't know when, what a joke!
