Great place, went into the shop with my partner to get my old phone that I gave him unlocked as we are on different networks, and get him a case and a screen protector. The gentleman who served us quoted £25 to unlock it and should unlock within 3 days.. he then asked me if I’d checked to see if it was already unlocked.. I hadn’t. So he checked for me and luckily it was already unlocked!! So he has just saved us paying £25 for no reason! The staff in this place are just lovely, honest and so helpful! Highly recommend

had to have my entire logic board replaced twice in a month (staff were pleasant and it didn't take more than three weeks), then blow and behold less than year later- I need the same part replaced again. can't believe this is coincidence frankly. emailed to ask for some sort of compensation or at least recognition received nothing except the questionable advice to contact apple care.

These guys go out of their way to make you happy. Very friendly and down to earth bunch. You get a feeling of family in there.... I’ve been to many apple stores which are good, but the Western Computer experience has been the best thus far by a country mile!! Professional, courteous and well resourced! Good variety for a small shop and Mr and Mrs Gandhi are first rate at giving it a real village feel. Often go here for weekly shop or for the odd thing or two and is good value.
The only point I would bring up is the sandwiches are not particularly varied, but they have sufficient other foodstuffs and variety to mean this doesn't matter. A lot of local shops have food that's a sparse selection of flavourless wonders, but definitely not true here.
We ought to celebrate our local shop more, as other places are not so fortunate.

I took a special delivery package in here, told them what it was worth and sorted it all out. After that the woman took my parsal and chucked it in a bag right in front of me. I don't know if I did something to upset her or what, but I would hope for a little more care and respect of my things, particularly when I am watching you. I have advised the receiver and we will discuss the matter further if it item is damaged.

I use their services quite often and always have an excellent service. Where else can you drop off your parcel before PO opening times? For those who complain about slow service- well blame customers themselves who don't know where their wallet is or realised that the best place to fill in address is right at the counter.

this woman actually goes out of her way to annoy people, loves her bit of control, she must lead a very sad life. Won't even look at you when serving, constantly on her phone, won't say please or thank you, total d@@k, Always a problem with the service and it will be your fault. sent a parcel one time and she stuck the label on the wrong side so it got delivered back to me, when I went back she wouldn't refund me, wouldn't apologies, the other lady had to intervene to give me my money back, one of several issues I have had here, today she took great pleasure in refusing to send my parcel. if it wasn't for the fact I live next door I wouldn't go there. the place is up for sale, hopefully she will go with the sale!

I dread having to use this place. Always miserable, little or no eye contact and honestly it feels like they would much prefer to have zero customers and just sit being miserable all day. I’m annoyed at myself for even trying to be polite and make idle chat because of the rudeness I received back.
Going forward I will try my hardest to not use this location.

Staff very helpful and friendly - some of them must have the patience of saints dealing with the many rude customers I have witnessed in there. ITS NOT THEIR FAULT THERE ARE QUEUES, AND ITS NOT THEIR FAULT YOU DIDN'T BRING CORRECT ID ETC They do their best for you. The woman who regularly works there is awesome. You can now drop off your parcels here if you have printed the postage yourself, they also have the print a label service here. You can even take your signed for post here now and my parcels always arrive quicker after dropping them off here than when i drop off at a normal post office.

This place has got a lot better recently, they accept Royal Mail parcels for postage and have the Amazon no label returns service too. It's a shame they don't take non Royal Mail items for postage (you have to go to a normal PO for this), but generally they are good. They do get busy as I think they have a massive volume of parcels to get through, but I have never had to wait too long - I think some of the reviews on here are a bit harsh!

Basically fine, usually a queue, staff fine. Would really benefit from some bike racks. You can get lots on a bike with panniers/a trailer and there is nowhere secure to lock one up.

Disgraceful services, very bad customer services with very arrogant attendance.
So, I got a postage parcel ( an A5 size envelope), delivered to my husband and my name. Started with the attendant refusing my citizen card, because didn't have my husband's surname on it. I reply that I don't need to have it, and the lady asked for my passport which I explained that by law I don't need to have my married surname on it neither ,as I use double barrel (-) and the postman didn't wrote it down to the postcard. Instead of asking for any proof of my married name, with the postcode on it, the rude lady turned to her colleague and shouted ( post office was full of customers)- "..... can you came here, as I cant deal with this?".... Surprise surprise...young lady...thats not your right career option then, if you can't deal with costumers. Colleague came and again on and on because my identification didn't have my married surname on it. I end up calling my husband ( was inside the car) to proof his surname.....with a debit card?????!!!! Is that a proof that he was the right person? No signature required thou. I have three questions in here.....can I collect any postage/ parcels on my neighbor behalf? Doesn't need to have my name on it right? Just signature and ID ! So, why I was refused to collect my parcels just because I use double barrel married surname? And how can someone check ID in a debit card?( Next time I borrow my husband's as we share same forename initial ) . Give some training to the staff and teach them that in this country we don't need to change our name by deed pool after marriage, we can use it legally. And last.....that was because I've shown my citizen card instead of my British passport?
Very rude, racist and disgusting customer service.

Puzzled by all the bad reviews - I've never encountered anyone rude there and find the staff helpful enough. They offer different prices if asked and have never refused a parcel. True, it's a tiny little shop and only sells cards and a small selection of stationery, but it's not pretending to be anything other than a local post office, so what do you expect?!

I am not surprised at all at the negative reviews. I found that one of the staff, woman with long dark hair is an absolute jobsworth... I tired to post a prepaid parcel of 200g , which was paid up to 2 kg weight. Online I did not put correct weight, and she refused to accept it. Made up some nonsense to make herself feel important. Went to Cutteslowe post office the next day, the parcel was accepted no problem. Man said, the weight doesn't matter as long as it's below limit paid for... What a sad person making herself important...will never post anything from here again. Would not bat an eyelid if they closed this branch thanks to useless staff...

Incredibly inefficient.
Even if you have already paid for and printed your postage onto a packaged item, you still have to wait in line behind many people who seemingly have never posted a letter before, rather than just being able to drop your package and leave.

Though lines can be long here, it’s no different than any other busy central post office. Staff are helpful and patient though usually short staffed to meet the demand. I try to go first thing in the morning before the queue gets too long. Overall fine experiences here.

Long wait, arrived to pick up a Biometric Residence Permit and rather than telling me what documents I needed to provide, the desk clerk acted like it was some big secret and I had to come up with the information without him asking. He was very unhelpful and unsympathetic to the fact that I was new in the country. This is a post office in an international university town so you'd think they'd be used to dealing with people unfamiliar with UK bureaucracy.

25th of May (2018) and is closed? They are always late in the morning while the service is every time so slow. It's pity that there is no alternative in the area around.
Update, when you ask for tracked option they select next day delivery by 1am. When I went back I was told that this is the only option for tracked posting. Thus you end up paying 8 pounds for 256grams envelope/parcel. Good luck. Also options like signed for are not tracked apparently.

Today I joined the bank around 2:10 pm, accompanied by my boyfriend who speaks English fluently, I thought it would be better to have your companion because I have difficulties with the language. to my surprise, they didn't want to open the account stating that they only open for english speakers! I could try to do everything myself, but it would be much more difficult than with my boyfriend together. I left so angry and so disappointed with the poor service that I will not return and not reccomend this bank to anyone! they make fun of you there!

Fantastic experience opening a business account with Ezra Martin at Metro Bank Oxford today after a very bad experience with Barclays. Not many banks that you can set up and open a business account in just over 2 hours on a Saturday with cards printed in store. Ezra couldn't do enough to help and was very professional balanced with a friendly approach. Joe McGowan the store manager was also a pleasure to deal with. Thank you guys. Great bank. Great service. Highly recommended.

My 3 D experience at Lloyds Bank - Disrespect, disgusting and disgraceful
On Tuesday 14/01/2020 at 4:20pm, I went to Lloyds Bank at Oxford City Centre hoping to sort out some mysterious and unauthorised transactions.
I waited till 4:30 pm before I was seen by the staff. She said she cannot help me but directed me to use the tele banking facility on site.
The adviser was nice and helped me to track down different transactions. Unfortunately, as this was a time consuming process it took us till 5:05 pm to come to the last one.
Then, one of the staff on site came up and reminded me of the closing time. I explained to her that I was on the last one and would not be long.
After couple of minutes at about 5:09pm, she came up again and without warning turned on the speaker as I was using the handset. She told the adviser on the other end that it has passed the closing and we have to finished.
I felt that her action was rude and unacceptable. As she did not even speak to me first but directly turn on the speaker. This was a total disrespect of customer's privacy.
Then she said that if I need to check something . I should come earlier. But excuse me... I was there at 4:20pm and waited till 4:30pm before I was seen. Why don't they retrospect that it was their problem of not having enough staff to handle customers?
Next, another of her colleague came to say what I want suppose, I can come back tomorrow which means I have to wait again and have the whole process start from scratch again. I have to ask, is it their time is more precious while customer's time is nothing? I believe that in other places, staff will let customers to complete what they have almost finished rather then kicking people out in such a manner. I found this is very disgusting.
Last but not least, I feel their rudeness is because I am a Chinese who they think I would not complain and was an easy target to whom they can do whatever they want. If this is the case, it would be really disgraceful of them.
All I want to say is I do not believe this is the right and acceptable attitude for customer service and the two staff at the Lloyds Bank at Oxford City Centre branch should be disciplined.

My only feedback would be to your personal bankers that when you come to the waiting area to call the next person, don’t just say “next” and then your back and walk to your office. Stop using the device where you used to keep the deleted data.
Work of the operating system, installation of programs, and even the ordinary act of connecting a disk, USB drive or smartphone to the computer will create new files that might overwrite the deleted data - and thus make the recovery process impossible. The best solution would be to shut down the computer of power off your phone and outline an action plan. If turning off the device is impossible, try to use it as little as possible.
Make up a list of devices where the necessary files have been saved.
Try to remember the chain of events from creating the files to deleting them.
