After having a small child spill a glass of water on my MacBook I briefly contemplated getting a new child but a quick Google revealed PC Fix just down the road to me instead.
I rang and spoke to John and explained my predicament, he was very knowledgable, straight talking and told me to pop down.
He talked me through the likely problems, told me what he was going to do and was very easy to deal with. He said it was likely the laptop was irrecoverable but after working some magic it now works exactly as it did before.
All in all, a great experience, John is a good guy, tells it like it is and charges very reasonably for any work. Highly recommended...

I contacted PC fix Nottingham a few days ago about my Mac book air as I had a problem with logging in and the keyboard. I previously contacted Team Knowhow as this is where I bought the Mac from. Team knowhow couldn't resolve the problem and tried to charge me silly prices for something that wouldn't have even fixed it. At this point I was very disappointed with the outcome and didn't think I would have the problem resolved, however. I contacted PC Fix and explained what had gone off. He got me in the same day and sat down with me to look at the problem. He took the Mac apart in a very safe way and really knew what he was talking about. The problem seemed to be a lot more complicated than we thought but he never gave up on it and managed to fix the problem for a very cheap rate. I trusted him with all my personal details and he was very safe and professional. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to get there computer fixed for a very reasonable rate.

I have been having problems with my emails recently and desperately needed them to be organised and sorted. I asked Eddie of Your Computer Department to help me. He was very prompt with arranging a time so that he could deal with my problem straight away. He, actually, logged into my computer remotely so that he could work from his office and spoke to me on the mobile whilst he dealt with it.
Eddie was very thorough. He contacted my current email host and managed to get information that he needed so that he could transfer my emails to a more reliable email service provider. He, then, transferred the emails from my old provider to the new. Now the emails are working fine and I can now access them from all of my Apple devices.
I would highly recommend Your Computer Department to sort out any IT issues or set ups. I was very impressed with Eddie’s knowledge, enthusiasm and motivation to find out the problem. His approach is very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for solving my problem.

Your Computer Department have been supporting my business and making sure that all my iMacs work properly and that I have the best software to help us to work efficiently. I now have Microsoft Office which is set up on all my devices. I also have added protection with Backup and Password Protection. They are professional and always very responsive when I need support. My Antivirus software kept blocking trojan virus from infecting computer but couldn't remove it. Geoff was recommended to me by someone in my village whose computer he had worked on.
Geoff was polite and professional and advised he had two other jobs he was working on so wasn't expecting a swift resolution. However, within 24 hours I had my computer back with the virus removed and all for a very reasonable price.
Very happy with the service received and will certainly call him again when necessary and also recommend him to friends with any computer problems.

Geoff was very professional, polite and offered a very good service.
Fixed our laptop hard drive fail and installed windows 10. All sorted within 24 hrs of making the initial call to him.
Geoff seems to know his stuff and is more than willing to go that extra mile and at very reasonable prices.
Our laptop is now faster than ever and like new.
From our experience we'd recommend using PC breakdown. We'll certainly be using them again.

The guy at the counter seems to really knows his stuff and is quick to identify laptop problems. In my case the conclusion was my laptop had gone past the stage where repair was justified (the honesty was appreciated). He had some good advice about which laptop to buy next though. On several previous occasions the smaller problems I had with the laptop were resolved. I don't normally write reviews but I have to say this place is highly commendable. Your computer is evidently in good hands if you take it here.

My MacBook Pro suffered liquid damage one week ago, I went to Genius Bar in Leicester, the estimated price for repair was 900 pound before tax. Then I came here, finally get my mac repaired perfectly with half of the price. Mark was incredibly helpful and considerate, he called me several times to report what was going on with my mac and even loaned me an Air during this week. The engineer also cleaned my pro after finishing repairing it, it looks just like a new one now. My gratitude again to Mark and B2K.❤️

Took my iPhone six in with a shattered screen. The chap was able to repair it within a couple of hours and more cheaply than a local competitor. So far all seems to be working fine. There is a slight bright spot, but I can live with it. Oh and he opened the door so I could get in with the pram, small deeds make a difference.

Used this service several years ago because my laptop contracted a virus. Great service. Six months or so ago, the laptop suffered a further laptop virus, so took it in again. Appeared to be functioning normally for a while, but the virus returned. It has emerged, that whilst undergoing surgery, the surgeon managed to remove the anti-virus programme but forgot to reinstall it. Hence, no remission. Fees too high for a most unsatisfactory service.

I personally have very little IT knowledge but wanted to purchase the best laptop for my requirements. The team at Bubble It went above and beyond to ensure that I knew all potential options and then offered their own valid opinion on the best option. I went for a laptop that had been used previously.
After a while the battery became faulty and losing charge quickly. I spoke to the Team at Bubble IT and within the same day one of their team came to see me and sorted it within the same week by fitting a new battery.
Brilliant customer service- honest and helpful throughout.

I have been visiting Sean's Shop - now known as Gadgets for years and could not recommend enough. Staff are polite and extremely helpful! My partner has had a total of 5 iphone screen repairs over the last 4 years with no issues.

I would strongly recommend to steer clear of this shop; now changed its name to “Gadget”
Apple product went in for a new screen - screen failed a few weeks later so went back under the guarantee to be told its not their fault the board is faulty, told him I would claim under the insurance which I wish had done in the first place, went to collect fault letter and when asked why the old screen now works perfectly fine which had been placed back in I was greeted with lies and abuse!
The owner actually tore the letter from my hand which I now have half as proof to go to trading standards with - so DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP WITH ANYTHING!!
It gets better to cover your inability to actually repair items and the fact your customer service is atrocious you lie to turn it on me; seems to be a recurring pattern of your poor service and pathetic responses!

I purchased a laptop from here a couple of weeks ago. My friend collected it for me as I was unavailable. After cleaning it, I realised that what was originally assumed to be dirt was actually a chip. This was never pointed out to me or my friend on purchase, but I was told it could be repaired so took it into the shop yesterday morning.
The guy serving me was not only unhelpful and patronising. He was pretty smug about it and I felt like he was pushing me out the door as quick as possible so he could go back to slacking off.
He barely looked at my laptop then straight off said it couldn't be repaired. I asked if there was anything that could be done because I brought it in this condition. He said "well you know CEX is a second hand store, if you had collected it yourself you could have seen it then"
I left completely embarassed and patronised, I frequently shop at this store and the experience has put me off, as I don't fancy another run in with someone that rude.
I have since taken it elsewhere and was told yes it could be fixed quite easily and they were confused as to why I had been turned away.

Well-run with friendly service. Offering a range of postal services and stationery type-goods for sale. Can get very busy, so pick your times to go. Parking can be difficult, with limited and fiddly spaces outside, and street parking nearby, again not plentiful or easy. Would give five stars, but parking does play a big role in the ease of access factor, so four stars overall.

I travel into Beeston to send parcels as the two nearest Post Offices to me have a habit of either overcharging or have, at one point or another, got shirty when I have refused their attempts at up-selling ( special delivery instead of 1st class signed for, as an example ).
Asked my better half to pop into Beeston today with a mobile phone I'd sold on ebay. Checked postage online and small parcel, tracked was £5.80 with 100 quid compo.
Staff at Beeston P.O. have obviously been told to up-sale as she was lied to and told that due to its value ( £95 ), it would have to be sent by Special Delivery, 1pm next day guaranteed?! Utter rot.
Checked online again and Tracked delivery is definitely available with £100 compensation, with a 600 gram small parcel.
I might only be £2.90 our of pocket, but blatant lying appears to be a business tool of the Post Office. I half-expect it in Chilwell and at Toton, but not from a main Post Office.
UPS via. Parcels2go wanted £8 - will stick to using couriers from now on for anything I can't wedge in a post box.

My feedback and rating is based on the shop, rather than the post office operating inside it.
While the shop does a good stock of cards, magazines and periodicals, these - along with other gift items are so severely overpriced, it borders on the ridiculous.
As an example, last weekend, I went in there to buy a very rushed (& very last minute) birthday party gift.
There wasn't much choice, as most of the birthday items had been removed (most probably to make way for Christmas merchandise). I was so late & desperate I just picked a box of dairy milk chocolates and made my way to the counter. The price tag read £8.99 which I carefully peeled and kept ready - just in case the bar code wasn't functional.
To my surprise, they don't use the bar codes at all, and simply make up prices when customers present items without tags! The shop assistant turned to the senior lady (before she realised I had the tag in my hand) to clarify the price; to which the response was "That should be £8.99, no... £9.99 actually".
I did point out the tag stuck to my first finger, and the price immediately came down.
Now, you may be wondering why I would call £1 more as "ridiculously overpriced".
Well, the next day, when I was browsing a shop across the street (famous for being expensive), the same box of chocolates were on display at £4.99...

Shockingly slow service, making queues build up quickly. Only one counter as well, and can get a bit claustrophobic as you queue in narrow-ish isles full of greeting cards. I much prefer to use the branch in Bilborough instead, since our nearest post office at Waitrose closed down.

I ordered 2 separate items that were supposed to be delivered thorugh the Delivery guaranteed option. I found a card in my house that a delivery guy tried to deliver my packages but nobody was at home. I arranged redelivery twice but nothing came, so I went to the sorting office to pick the both items up. I was told that they had already been delivered although I had not received anything. So the items are probably lost and I will never receive them.
Previous experience with the Royal Mail was good but they let me down this time as they did not deliver two packages.

Drove an hour round trip to catch the post office with some urgent post, as the post office is advertised as open till 10pm, attempted to phone them to tell them i was coming with urgent mail, but the advertised number went to royal mail and not the post office in question.
Made it there for 9.45 to be told that they have already packed up the post office and that it is in the safe. After trying to explain that the letters are urgent, they said that there is nothing they can do, its in the safe and it is time-locked.
With frustration i said they if they advertise being open till 10pm, it is reasonable to expect them to be open till 10pm. With that they said that i shouldn't expect them to be open at that time, and not many others are open either, and they have homes to go to!
Really disappointed, if you want to close the post office at 9.30pm so you can go home at 10pm, have your opening hours till 9.30pm. For the sake of customers choosing your establishment, please do them the courtesy of being open for business when you advertise being open.

What a waste of time this shop is. They have 'efficiently' decided to locate the post office in the shop, yet both operate different opening hours.
Went in last week to post a letter and a parcel.
-Queued up for stamp
-was told, 'oh no, you can't buy a stamp here. you need the queue next along for the post office to get stamps'
-get to front, 'i need a stamp for this letter and a Jiffy bag for this parcel'.

Nice friendly staff. Not very often queues apart from in the mornings as the older generation prefer to do their banking face to face. Options of using the cash machines outside or inside. Sometimes I use the machines indoors during the winter and when there is a que building up outside.

I have banked with this branch for over 15 years now and it used to be great, now there are long wait times, coin machine always faulty. I requested a 30 day statement, the white haired gentleman said they don't do this any more, but other branches are happy to?
I had a letter out of the blue telling me Natwest could no longer provide banking services to me, with no reason given at all.
I wouldn't want to use RBS or Natwest again after this awful service !

only 1 cashier on saturday dinner, had to wait 20 minutes for the guy in a suit in front of me to withdraw 5k. plenty of people floating around who work there, it would have been polite to open another till, but because i looked scruffy in my work clothes they made me wait, knowing it would take that long at least. When it was my turn there was no offer of an apology for my wait, just 'next'. Might sound like im whinging but i missed an important appointment costing me at least 50 quid.

The bank layout is trying to be friendly and informal. Counter service become bar table service, lack of security glass and what not. The bank's cash safe is in plain sight. When counter staff turned around to operate safe, there isn't any safety measure to stop bank "customers" from over stepping behind the counter to mess with computer and other equipment. This doesn't reflect well on NatWest reputation as a secure bank.

Staff are extremely incompetent, in particular a staff member called Joshua Heyman. He had one job, to make a transfer and he misspent the swift code. Told him to change the mandate, we signed everything and 5 days after, no mandate have been submitted. Complete waste of time.

They need a guarantor for £6k, which I can pay even in cash. So I approached my bank HSBC. I've been their customer for both personal and business for many years, however the Business Specialist at my local branch (Matthew D Wells) won't even consider my request because my turnover is less than £2m. IF YOU ARE A SMALL BUSINESS STAY FAR FROM HSBC THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT BIG CUSTOMERS

Located on the pedestrianised shopping area, of Beeston, Nottingham, this Halifax is not exactly user-friendly if you want to drive to get to it with the nearest legal street parking some minutes away. Tesco offers nearer parking opportunities if you want the aggro of driving round its car park.
Usually some sort of problem whenever I go in there. I only really went in to bank customer cheques, but more often than not, the cheque deposit machine had some sort of issue resulting in me having to take one or all of them to the counter service - usually one till open and a queue to access it.
Always seems to be plenty of staff walking around, but not in key customer service positions like the aforementioned counters area.
Thankfully, the Halifax has recently introduced via their banking app, the facility of scanning in an image of your cheques via your PC/mobile phone/tablet, finally removing the outdated method of having to physically present them at the branch. A real godsend for anyone having to bank them on a regular basis.
I certainly won’t miss having to go to Halifax Beeston anymore, and feel sorry for those mainly older customer base of theirs that still have to encounter the snail’s pace service there because they don’t trust internet banking.

I went into this branch to sort out issues with my student account. I visited a total of 4 times and was spoken to rudely by one member of staff on 2 occasions. This was only the first issue however.
I was told that the issue with my student account would be looked into every time but not once did I get a call back after being told I would be contacted.
After attempting to solve the problem with this branch numerous times over a period of about 2 months I decided that it was no longer worth my time and opted to speak to the very busy student branch on campus. Here, the issue was fixed within 5 minutes and I was contacted later that day to update me.
I have never been more disappointed by the sheer incompetence of a bank before and would not recommend visiting this branch if you're looking to actually find a solution to your issues.
