Jason was extremely helpful. He spent his Sunday evening talking me through programs to try to recover my product key as I accidentally deleted Microsoft Office from my computer. Although he couldn't help me in the end, I appreciated his honesty as I was would have paid him to come out and look over my laptop to see if he could repair it. He was genuinely concerned for me to get back up and running, even though he didn't earn any money out of it and it meant speaking to me on a Sunday evening. Would thoroughly recommend.

Sell my broken laptop gave us the best price for our old faulty laptop. It wasn't economical to have it repaired and we were going to take it to the council tip but were worried about our personal information from the laptop falling into the wrong hands. Then someone suggested we sell it to these guys who erase all the info from it like NASA or something like that - and pay us for it too! We checked out some other laptop buying companies, who either weren't interested or offered less money for it. Added bonus was these guys are in Reading so we just took it to them. Paid us immediately, in cash.

I first met Kevin at 24-7 Computer Doctor some 7 years ago when I lived in Berkshire. The work he did for was both thorough and done quickly, such that I have maintained contact with him for the last 5 years since I have moved to Warwickshire. He continues to give me the same quick response and helpful service, albeit remotely. I once had issues with my Nest Central Heating on line thermostat....didn't know who to ask for help, so turned to Kevin and he quickly found out the issue for me. I would recommend 24-7 very highly.

Computer repair job done in 30 minutes. My desktop PC recently failed requiring me to look urgently for a company to discuss: 1. If it could be quickly repaired; and 2. In the event that it was beyond cost effective repair, the recovery of data. Spoke to Kevin at 24-7 Computer Doctor, Winnersh on Saturday and arranged to see him on Monday at his workshop. Glad I did; he quickly diagnosed the cause of the failure and replaced the power supply unit. Many thanks for your speedy and thoroughly professional service. Kevin of 247 Computer Doctor was a great find. I have dealt with Kevin for quite some years now. Being so impressed with the service, I have recommended him to my family who also now happily use this company. I have always found Kevin extremely helpful and prompt to deal with any problem. What amazing service and didn't make a very untecky person feel silly. After 3 visits to a cowboy company who charged me £120 and still didn't fix the problem i was recommenced by a friend to go to Computrix . They spent 30 mins on my daughters mac. As the problem was just a loose connection they didn't charge me a penny . Wish i'd gone here first

I had issues with my iMac called them and they told me to bring it in for a check. Came back after a day with the diagnosis. Although it was not worth fixing they gave me very helpful advise and didn't charge me a penny for checking which is awesome. At the same time I took a MacbookPro which died 6 years ago due to liquid damage, they offered to fix it and voila with in 2 days it was all working in top notch condition which was a surprise for me as I had assumed that it couldn't be fixed ever and the price quoted was very reasonable. So, HIGHLY RECOMMEND and would definitely recommend to my friends and family. So keep up the great work. U guys rock. A++++++++++++++++ :):)

I'm lazy with reviews-it took me 6 months to finally do this one. Seriously, I like John because he is the type of pro who doesn't look over other issues your PC might have simply because he is being paid to fix a specific thing.John helped fix my laptop which I had stupidly spilled tea on. He's very knowledgeable and also sped up my PC and installed a free anti-virus software for no extra charge (I didn't ask for these, but he noticed that laptop was super slow and wasn't protected).
You'll get more than your money's worth, believe me.

I had a problem with my keyboard. I ordered a new keyboard from internet and tried to fix it myself. I couldn't do it so I brought it to them. They gladly accepted it and sait they will fix it in 1 day. After 5 days they call me and tell the keyboard was wrong and they could not fix it, and i needed to pay a service charge of 30£. A bunch of thieves beware !

Good store size with range of products. Competitive pricing on most of the products, in my case a gaming laptop in particular. Customer service is lacking and would recommend improvement, left feeling awkward and unimportant. One young lad in the computer area (Dell) was really friendly, helpful, made you feel comfortable and probably the nicest vibe out of all of the staff - I wish all of the others were like him as it would of felt a lot more pleasant! *Simple* 'click and collect' transaction turned in to 30 minutes.

Great store, caters for everything and is my goto when I need something immediately. Had many visits there. On one occasion I bought something which turned out to be a returned item in new packaging, staff were very quick to replace and overall perfect is customer service quality.

Its OK. Have had both good service here and not quite so good. Staff are generally helpful and there are plenty of products on display. Weekends can get very busy and as its on a retail park, the car park can get very full. Better off visiting in the evening if possible.

Giving one star because i have to.
Bad customer service. stay away from them for your peace of mind. first tie i went to store, got locked in their airtight glass box lift for an hour with my 3 year old daugher. second time i went, they tried billing and lost the money on my gift card and had to wait for 3 hours standing at the counter trying to sort it which infact took more than 4 days to sort. third time went to buy a gas hob, it came in plastic bag with booklet inside it. the fitter took out the booklet to find out that the measurements are not right for my worktop, so went to return it and they said they cant accept because the top plastic was half cut from top. :D .... I actually have bought more than £2000 worth of kitchen and other electric appliances from them in last 3 months and they are not even polite to you.
The first time when i got stuck in their lift, there was no action taken on it. i did not even receive an email or sorry from them. instead it was funny when i went second time, they were like -- oh u were the the guy who got stuck in the lift...
worst store ever. For your own peace and mind steer away from this store.

Came here twice to choose a good tablet. First time was not good, 2 members of staff on in the whole store on a Saturday. Eventually saw a salesman who did not know any of the products I wanted to see, just kept showing me Apple products (which I did not want to buy and told him so),.
Second time was a big improvement, saw a man called Jack who was much better. He listened to what I wanted from the tablet, suggested options and showed me how they worked, no Apple this time, as he actually listened! I was happy to buy from him and am happy with my choice. Excellent!

omg.What awfull service from staff and there team knowhow plan.
We brought a panasonic microwave(not a cheap one i might add)and insurance for it.
it broke down after only 2 monthe"s,we took it back to get a replacement,no go, had to be repaired apparentley .The knowhow plan says repair,not done in 7 days ,we can have a replacement. oh no we have to wait for a voucher to go to Curry"s before they will replace it .WE HAVE TO MAKE ALL THE PHONE CALLS TO CURRY"S PLUS THE REPAIR PLACE FOR INFORMATION.They dont help you get it right.
we are pensioners and its been stressfull we just would like a working microwave its our main form of cooking as its a grill and oven too,so far 10 days have past and still waiting for a phone call

Came today to buy a Samsung curve TV which was advertised online as in store . Got there showed them the advert I had. Oh yes sir we have that one let me just check Non in stock sir. Ok help me look for another please I want to take 1 home today. No problem. 2nd model talked about for 15mins sounded great looked great £400 more ok no problem. I will take it please . Ok sir. Oh seems there's non in stock. 3rd TV same story 4th TV same story. So I rang richer sounds gave them the model number they had it in stock . I reserved it 15mins later was in the boot of the car. Curry's I bet you don't ever read this but hope you do. Your staff apart from the LG rep &the Samsung rep know nothing about the products you sell they fumble and mumble there way through conversations and then even if they manage to convince a person to buy guess what . Yep non in stock . Your a big bag of poo I will never shop with you again. Time for some staff training they walk around like list monkeys looking at the ceiling instead of trying to sell a customer . I hope you go bankrupt then I might buy a few tv's in your sale haha

Staff is very polite, but whole banks sucks.. They need to do something about their online security, currently is on very very low level.. If you pay online, you have pretty good chances to block your card. First I got my card blocked when I tried to purchase online for £506, then my app got blocked when I tried to send
£6 my friend. And now they declined my card online 2 times, but my money is on pending orders (I'm about to pay something that I didn't buy) . I called them and they told me 2 different stories from help desk and from security help. At the end I needed to call the Seller that I've not paid, but still paid and to send them my card details, so the The Seller can confirm my details to them, that they will not take money out of my account, so they can cancel pending orders which is caused by faulty system of payment in TSB bank at the first place. . They actually told me to give to Seller my bank details so the Seller can send fax to them and tell them "we don't want money from this guy, here are the bank details of you client" so they can cancel my payment.. Now, sitting in my room, I don't know will I cry or laugh..

Tsb Basingstoke branch is racist . A racist lady who was at the reception pressed the panic button on me . I haven't done anything to her .All I wanted was to change my address .in the meanwhile she clicked on panic button requesting help ! I closed my account with immediate effect . The same old racist person with the help of her racist manager closed my account . I made a complaint to TSb,they promised to look into the matter but they never did .

i didn't believe the last review until I tried calling the branch. Modern phones have time elapsed clocks, so bad news for those giving poor service. All customer business phones should be picked up within 5 rings. RBS has it's back against the wall, so customer service is critical.... Oh dear 6 minutes and 12 seconds waiting and the line is cut off. Says it all. Sorry, but management have to accept their poor performance.

I find it an absolute disgrace that for such an important business that opens after the time people would usually start work (9.30am) and then closes before most would finish (4.30pm) to be locking their doors earlier than their stated closing time so now having to start work later on Monday because they can’t be bothered to stay open until their stated hours of business.

Over many years, I have always found the staff at Barclays Tadley to be very helpful and- well, customer-friendly. Granted they are now manifestly shorter-staffed and therefore less able to help, but I had a major misfortune recently and they rose to the occasion magnificently with swift, decisive and effective action!
It's a real shame that staff cuts are felt to be the way forward- this branch really provides a most valuable service.

I have to write a review about this branch because their attitude to me was so bad. All I wanted to do was deposit a cheque at the counter as someone was being "trained" how to use the deposit point so it would be quicker to use the counter. I was told by the cashier in a very aggressive manner that I HAD to be trained to use the deposit point. So would have to get in a queue and it would take up more of my time. After pointing this out and about 5mins of being told that was not possible the cashier did take and process my cheque.
I have always liked using this branch as it is smaller and have found them to be friendlier but this experience today has really upset me and made me reconsider backing with Lloyds at all. If this is how they are going to treat their customers, they dont deserve any.

Another local Barclays branch that have now COMPLETELY SEALED the letter box. What was, 20 years ago, a good, customer oriented bank, has gradually become an inept, lazy organisation. Avoid this bank. What you miss with this bank -
1. Poor customer service at branches. Huge wait times to even see a bank rep. So, no first time resolution for issues you might face. You would end up tossed from branch to phone / online banking and vice-versa.
2. No products to meet customers needs. Most of the time you end up finding a mortgage, personal loan, etc with other financial institutions than HSBC. Above all, they don't even care to offer any home or personal loan to the customer at competitive rates even if you are with them for years.
3. Rude treatment of customers when questioned about their processes and criteria. It is felt that it is a directive from higher management themselves to treat customers in this manner, especially who query / question their processes. In short they don't like anyone querying their banking system even if they have a fault in it.

The experience I have faced yesterday in HSBC bank Reading city center branch was the worst for me. I didn’t see this amount of rudeness in a very long time. As a university professor who’s a role model I suppose. I load my bank account with extra cash all the time. What happened is I try to load my account using pay in machines and the money stuck in the machine and stop working. I asked the customer service man (who should be a well trained first line assistant in the high reputation bank) do you have any one to help me with the machine?? All the expected answers crossed my mind was wrong.
He did not say wait we are all busy
Or I will help you as soon as I finish this customer.
He shout: don’t you see me talking to another customer?
What an answer!!

He start playing with the customer baby in the stroller and asking about the name.
Then finally look at me after the customer left and again what he side was not how to serve you madam!!

Incompetent employees. To open bank account here I was asked for a residence certificate, I asked if a bank statement from another bank could be used as proof. They told me yes. I went to my bank on the same day and asked for a residence certificate. My bank gave me this and explained to me that the only difference is that they would not put for that paper in an envelope and send me home, they gave it directly in the hand. When I went to HSBC I explained the situation and they answered that you have to receive the letter at home.That is, if I had not said that I had received the proof directly in my hand and they would open my bank account.

A few good moments, but ruined by a raft of bad things.
I only go into a bank branch when I really need to. I went into this branch to pay in about £500 in cash that I had collected for charity. I had already split the cash up into denominations, and had counted it, but the coins were not in bank bags but rather in various paper envelopes that I had been able to get my hands on after the charitable event.
I queued up, got to the counter and explained what I wanted to do. I explained that I'd be happy to put the coins into bank bags but didn't have any. They issued me with bank bags and explained in detail how much should go into each bag (though it was printed on the side of the bag and completely obvious). I said I'd like to set up the bags in the branch so that I wouldn't have to go away and come back again. They had a number of side rooms with tables and chairs, but didn't want to let me use those because they wanted to keep them available for customers. Apparently wanting to pay money into my account was not a good reason to let me use a side room. They did let me use a counter towards the back of the customer area, but I had to stand. I duly went through all of my cash, putting all the coins into bank bags and checking that it matched my original count (which it did).
Once I had finished bagging everything up, I picked it all up and queued up to get to the counter again. When I got to the counter, I encountered a lady. Just before I got there I got wind of a few words being exchanged between here and someone else about her going off shift, which was probably telling for what was about to come. I greeted her with my usual greeting "Hello, how are you today?". This is a good one because it let me judge how good people are at customer service. There's generally three categories of answer: (1) "Fine thanks; how are you?"; (2) "Fine"; (3) "OK I suppose, not that it's relevant to anything". I'll give you a hint: The correct answer is number 1. Answer 2 means you're not so bolshie that you will deliberately blank me completely, but by not asking me how I am, it demonstrates that you have not yet completely learned how to behave like a human being. Answer 3 means that you are completely socially inept and should not be in a customer-facing role. Anyway, she gave me answer 2. Not great, but hey ho. I went to explain my situation, but she CUT ME OFF, and told me to get my money out, which she then started hastily counting. I don't mind a little hustle, and I expect she counts a lot of money, so wants to crack on and get it done as quickly as possible. But she made a mistake and got a different total to what I had. The amount of the difference, and a comparison of our denomination totals, quickly identified where the error was and she corrected that. Fine.
At some point in the proceedings I had provided the debit card for one of my accounts, and this had enabled her to identify my accounts in their system. But I didn't want to deposit into that account, but rather another of my accounts. I detected that she was about the enter the transaction into the bank system and I indicated that I didn't want the money put into he account directly related to the card. She advised me that it was a good thing that I had said that because she was about to go ahead and put the money in that (wrong) account!
I know personal banking does not make the bank a lot of money, and they need to spend as little on it as possible. But I do not go into the branch and deposit £5, withdraw £5, what have you --- I only go into the branch when there is something that can only be handled by a branch.
So all in all, she was rude and rushed, and nearly made a complete mess of the transaction. Had I not been super vigilant, she would have deposited the wrong amount into the wrong account. At the end of the transaction I was left irritated and annoyed, and hating my bank.
I submitted a complaint to someone else in the branch and also phoned a complaint through to the call centre.

This bank is very slow. I’ve been in twice this week and each time waiting to be seen about 20-25 minutes. They only seem to have 1 cashier on at all times, which is ridiculous as it’s the only local branch now open. So people from all neighbouring villages have to use this one if to avoid going to town. If they shut other local branches then the one remaining needs to be improved, extended and have more staff in it to accommodate at all times. They have also now decided to shut on a Saturday so this will now penalise the full time workers. Once I was served I have no complaints with the staff, they were friendly and did what I asked with no problems. But please NatWest improve this branch.

Came for a general enquiry regarding whether my wife could still cash in a cheque made on her maiden name. Had my wife's passport with me but they wouldn't bother answering my question and asked for my wife to come in so they can then look at the case. No wonder customers are unhappy especially if you have to travel 5 miles and queue for 20 minn to get this kind of unhelpful behaviour. We have a joint account by the way... And I also have my passport with me.
