These guys are genuinely first class. I needed my iPhone repaired whilst on holiday from the US: no problem, we can have a look and help immediately. 30 minutes and a new screen later we were back up and running - they even put on a new screen protector for free. Service was friendly and wonderfully efficient. Full marks .

The trackpad/keyboard on my MacBook Air suddenly stopped working. I assumed it was liquid damage, so took it to the IT Store. They said they would take it and basically diagnose the problem. It turned out not to be liquid damage but that the trackpad cable had burned out. They replaced the trackpad cable and I picked up my laptop within 2 days after first dropping it off. My laptop is working perfectly now. Not only was I charged very reasonably but the service I received was kind and efficient. I have recommended this Store to everyone I know. And will be returning again to replace my battery.

Second time in 12 months been very impressed both times!
Managed to salvage my data from my 6 year old Macbooo Pro. I was desperate as not backed up and would have paid £££s to rescue my data... the service was good and excellent value for money!
My new MacBook Pro developed a fault a few days out of warranty... The IT Store helpfully suggested I took it to ‘Iconology’ in Ashford who were able to return it to Apple free of charge! It was covered by Consumer Law. The IT Store did not charge me for having a look.
I will be using them again if I have any Apple issues. I would recommend ‘The IT Store’ to everyone!

James and the team had my 2012 IMAC in for repair as it just stopped working - Dead. They spent a long time trying to diagnose a fault possibly in the power board, however they identified that it was the SMC causing the problem, and cannot economically repair the SMC (they did tell me this can be done, but it's costly and doesn't guarantee my particular IMAC will carry on working reliably) Very sound advice and they charged me £0 for identifying the fault !. I cannot recommend them highly enough for their honest and professional approach. Thank you AppleTree

Expensive for second hand tech. They get more profit by buying at low ball prices, then charge a tad under brand new retail prices. I looked and a laptop they would buy for £299 ish they then sell for £599. Same laptop in currys is £649 with full warrenty

A really good place to get movies, CDs computers, phones and games. It's always clean and tidy, can sometimes find movies that you haven't seen for ages, but can find very top titles as well. Staff are always friendly and helpful and you can also trade in your old stuff as well.

This store used disc cleaner on my son's Apple Mac screen which caused delamination. Despite Apple confirming that the model is prone to delamination and that is is completely inappropriate to use disc cleaner on the screen the firm refuse to accept that they have damaged it. The manager states states that Apple are wrong and disc cleaner is a harmless cleaner for use on all screens! Avoid these dishonest cowboys!

Generally not too much waiting around although the Business Account desk is a bit slow with procedures rather long winded. Often problems with the PC/printer/systems down etc.
Other than that there's a good range, I generally find exactly what I want at a very competitive price

Went here on Sunday, saw one of their staff standing by the toasters, noticed he had “in Training” on his badge, he approached me after a few minutes of me browsing the vacuums and offered help, was a very friendly and knowledgeable man, despite his badge saying otherwise, advised and promptly sold me a shark vacuum, which I wanted and he helped carry and transaction through the till, one thing I didn’t like though was his store colleagues support when he was demonstrating the product ( he was great mind )but other staff just stood in their clusters by the door chatting, upon leaving and checking my receipt prior to this review I found his name is Steve.... well done mate on a great customer sale and long May Currys PCW support and nurture you, a great shopping experience, I’m the Diderot old 81 year old man with the blue car 🚙

Ver y Negative, Not very helpful, I wanted to buy a £1500 TV from this store, but a member of staff has put me off, by saying" we do not have packing boxes for these TVs, and I would not trust the delivery drivers to get your TV to you undamaged", he told a woeful story it seemed he didn't want me to buy this TV, although I had the full amount. I was happy to purchase this TV and pay the full amount, there and then after researching it , I found it is one of the top spec in it's class. What is the matter with the staff here at the Canterbury store is my money not good enough? Sorry 'Currys PC world' thanks to your member of staff you have lost an expensive sale.

The service has always been great when I need to buy something, however, I returned a week later to find my laptop had been reduced. I wish someone had told me about the sale. Would have been 5 stars if they had been a little more honest with me. I did get the difference refunded, but would not have known if I didn't return to the store to get something else.

Booked a spot for a technician to look at laptop. Jack the engineer was Excellent.. Although he had to refer me back to Apple, not due to his abilities but a warranty issue. I'm extremely happy with the service I received in this store. Brett was helpful and booked me in with technician Sam. My iPhone was completely non responsive but through his expertise and persistence, Sam managed to recover my data and diagnose the exact problem with my phone. His attitude towards finding out what was wrong with my phone was top class. I would certainly purchase any future Apple products from Stormfront rather than an Apple Store.

poor service, i called to collect the parcel, the lady in the shop was not helpful, i had travelled with mother who cant walk, i explained this. the lady said she didnt know why the post office was closed. i later found out the lady in the sweet shop, (which is in the same building ) is the wife of the man who runs the post office ( in the same building ). the Post office was closed again, today, i was told '' the printer isnt working '' - another time i called the PO, the PO worker ( the man ) said drop the parcel before 2 pm, as he was closed and told me to leave it in the shop, when i arrived at the shop, the woman in the shop ( his wife ) told me i had to wait until 2 pm. i explained to her that her husband told me to leave the parcel before 2 pm. i asked her to call him'' he cant be disturbed on his lunch break '. my mother has experienced similar issues with this post office. and the post office customer service has also told me they are aware of issue at this post office. such a farce! such incompetance, such a laid back dont care attitude that should not be allowed.

What a dreadful set up. I sent a photo of a grit bin which is on my pathway and has had an obscene word graffitied on it for over a year. CCC have a page for reporting graffiti. The reply .... bins belong to Kent county council and therefore nothing to do with us. The writer of the reply who signs herself as business manager writes that the graffiti V(F)ECK is not offensive so "we will not clean ". Moreover she addresses me by my first name which is personal. In fact Kent county Council do not have a webpage that deals with graffiti. Why I ask do we have to pay such high community taxes.

Post Office still CLOSED as of April 2019 - a good mini-mart, but short of a one-stop shop for Blean. Nearest Post Office is in Hales Place, nearer Canterbury St Stephens.

I have a small business where I have to ship things at least twice a week. Everything is so easy when the self service machines are open but they never are. Whats the point in having them? When they are closed the queue to post anything or just buy stamps is so long. understaffed.

This would have to be the worst Post Office in the country. We joined the queue with 4 people in front, 20 minutes later there were still 3 people in front. Only 2 staff, one was busy in the foreign exchange section and the other spent all of her time assisting people at the self service machines (what is the point of the self service machines if they need to be staffed???). The staff member then asked if anyone wanted stamps or postage (we wanted a "signed for courier bag", so she told us to leave the queue and get it from the self service machine. She came to assist us and then told us we could not get it from the machine and would need to queue up (there were now 12 people in the queue and she told us we could not return to our original position and would need to go to the back - we walked out!!

Staff are very helpful but poor them, always understaffed. Since the introduction of self service machines, which should've made things quicker, I spend even more time in there than I used to.
I go in there quite often to post work related items and noticed that, due to staff shortage they let newbees on their own too soon. No I don't know of how long that training should be or individuals' capabilities, but it seemed like they were struggling big time and always had to ask someone else to show them processes, slowing down even more the queue.
Don't get me wrong, everybody is so polite and helpful, I just hope for them to be under less pressure soon.

The best thing about Metro Bank? Magic Money Machine. Opened an account as I was fed up with another provider being awkward, within half an hour I had my card, money transferred and sorted all my direct debits. Very personal service, looked after, questions answered politely, quickly and correctly.

On 18th July I wanted to pay a cheque in using the ATM outside as it was 7.30am and I was on my way to work . The first machine I used wouldnt allow me to make a deposit .I went to use the other ATM next to it and it looked like it had had something spilt all over it looked awful . On my home at 5.30 I then thought I would stop and pay the cheque in .The machine was still the same I think it is bad management that this hadnt been cleaned by a member of staff . Im sure complaints would have been made during the day . What sort of image does this create for the nationwide . If the substance was something that couldnt be cleaned at least display and opologiy with a notice .

Employees are so rude, and need to learn manners, I think its prejudice here whenever I working ask for simple task such as bank statements, I am spoken and given weird looks.

The Canterbury branch is very poorly organised. Only two service tills and a disorganised help function. Staff need to be properly trained in customer service. For example when dealing with customer(s) coping with bereavement. Do not want to be rudely told "what I want?" When its obvious. I expect much more from a brand such as Halifax. Instead of cartoon marketing campaign, money needs to be spent on critical infrastructure issues. In today's economic environment, no business is tool large to fail. Now tried to telephone but end up in countless queues.

Helpful friendly service . So many people use in person banking here that you need to avoid the first day or two of the month if at all possible or be prepared to join a queue of sometimes grumpy "seniors" (including me by the way(as senior but not i hope a grump :-) )

Another drawback is you cant make deposits by debit card in branch ( in a bank??) and must deposit by cash or cheque.
Also accounts you open in branch cannot be operated online and vice versa which is really inconvenient.
As there are lengthy waits sometimes in branch free wifi would be helpful .

The new offices are great and no problem for wheelchair users. The old office was very cramped even for able bodied customers.
The staff are always very friendly and efficient. Just wish there were more branches in the county.

If you don't mind waiting an hour or more to get served then you'll love this throwback to banking in the 1950's (Hand written passbooks along with all the mistakes that come with that system etc.). Queues inside this very small branch are ridiculously long - I've ended up queuing around the counter, past an (unmanned) desk and into (another unmanned) back office. A sign that has been up for more than six months saying they are looking for bigger premises doesn't really compensate for that.
Sadly for Kent Reliance, the world has moved on since this level of service was acceptable and so has my custom.

Not the level of customer service I expected
This refers to the online system: I opened a savings account here because I read that it had very good reviews for customer service. Unfortunately, this has not been the case for me. Every time I called, I had to give up waiting to speak to someone and wait for a callback. Despite having to leave a message to receive a callback, the person who called back had no idea what my call was about, so I had to go through it all over again. I found it hard to understand some of the advisers (they are Indian - despite there being a KR office about a mile away in my home town) and there was often a lot of background noise which made it very hard to hear what they were saying. They gave me the wrong information about depositing the money and spent over a week sorting themselves out on this issue, causing me to have to pay my bank twice for the transfer. A number of the letters they said they had sent me never arrived; this may not be their fault but I haven't had a problem about missing post before. I also had a problem registering for my online account, although this has finally been resolved and the message system online appears to work better. However, it has taken a month for the whole operation to work correctly, which is not good enough.

I had a question about an old account and the greeter guy wasn't sure and asked a woman. He came back with the answer "you need to go online and fiĺl out a form". I asked a couple of other questions and each time he had to go ask her - she was sitting at a desk less than a metre away. So I asked if I can just speak to her directly and she said no! I am still stunned at the rudeness. The greeter was trying to be helpful but that woman is a disgrace!

Worst bank I've ever been. They have basic mistakes like informing clients wrong appointment date. Also, they said they are sorry so they can make account next they but they didn't keep appointment.

I was recommended by Save the Children to deposit my office fundraiser charity monies at NatWest. It would appear NatWest have done away with conventional cash desks in favor of machines; machines that can't successfully process a clearly written and pre-printed Save the Children paying in slip.
The NatWest representative at the desk informed me they don't like handling coinage at the desks for which I had just queued...Seems reasonable to have cash and coin after a charity fundraiser...I was redirected to another machine.
I'm sorry, this is a Bank right? Please NatWest stop trying to replace humans for machines that don't work properly. Shame on you for not giving the customer the option. Just in case you think i'm a grumpy old man, know that I am in your sub 30 years of age demographic and you've put me off.

NatWest because the local RBS closed. Basically, if it isn't a cash transaction, the tellers can't do a thing and you're stuck waiting for someone to take care of the simplest transactions. For example, moving money from savings to checking. (Online banking was down.) Or informing the back I'll be out of the country, don't freeze my card. What is the point of your tellers if they can't take care of the most simple of banking tasks??? I really miss RBS. Up your game NatWest. This is ridiculous.

VERY POOR AND NEGLIGENT SERVICE: Tried to close my Santander Account 123 account, mini saver and credit card accounts in late 2014. They had given my husband very poor service so I decided to vote with my feet.
I called in as I was very ill (chronic kidney infection). I was told that they could not close it over the telephone, instead I had to visit the branch, or write a letter. I wrote a letter and posted it.
I assumed all was fine and forgot about it as was rather busy having major surgeries the following year. In April 2016 I received a letter advising that: the 123 Account had never closed and that they had continued to charge me the £2 then £3 monthly fee; had reported this underpayment to the credit authorities; and passed it to the debt collection team.
I spoke with the debt collection team who apologised profusely for the oversight; it was agreed to close all accounts and advise the debt collection team that it was an error.
I received another request from debt collection team 6 weeks later. THE SAME ISSUE. The accounts were never closed. Again I spoke with the debt collection team and requested customer services as I wanted to make a formal complaint. He agreed he would close all the accounts and send me a cheque for the amount I should have been given at the time of the closure. He also said he would update the credit authorities. I received the cheque and again assumed everything completed as agreed.
NOT SO. I found out this week that they never alerted the credit authorities in regard to their error and it has severely affected my credit score. Lets hope they can sort it out or they will be speaking with my solicitor.
