PC wouldn't boot, suspected faulty power supply. Simon was able to diagnose over phone, offered to come out same day to take a look (in the evening!). Confirmed fault and was happy to replace the power supply then and there, incl replacing all internal power wiring. Extremely impressed!

This is the sort of computer shop where there's a workbench behind the counter with the guts of a PS4 on it. This is the sort of the computer shop where arcane bits of computer hardware you never knew you needed are piled high on jumbled shelves. This is the sort of computer shop where seemingly nothing ever goes to waste, and the guy behind the counter clearly knows how to reassemble a machine from whichever parts you might find lying around, no matter how broken it is.
In short, this is a real computer shop for real computer nerds.

(I think) at Farncombe Post Office today and he is wonderful. If I could drive I would be using the Farncombe branch for everything! He was absolutely lovely and very understanding about an issue I have been having with the Milford branch and I am so grateful. Thank you, you are a fantastic human being.

Mail addressed to my wife at No 20 (rather than No 30) would have gone astray had it not been for the eagle eyed postman who spotted the mistake. It was flowers for her birthday - perishable! This could easily have gone so badly wrong, we don't know them at No 20 so they would have returned the parcel to the Sorting Office..... and on the hottest day of the year! So thanks so much to him.......many Brownie points!!

I just cant believe how bad this pub is. On our first visit we were eyeballed all the time we were there in an intimidating manner, but we put this down to the locals and staff on a boring Sunday afternoon. On our second visit we we were half way through our meal when we were asked to move to a smaller table. Even though the entire half of the pub was empty and remained so until we left!
The only thing missing is a notice on the door saying STRANGERS KEEP OUT!
Needless to say we will not visit a third time.

Incredibly rude man who runs this branch! I went to buy two cards, but he told me that he couldn't take my debit card for £4, but could do cash back at the other counter. I was in a rush, so I said, 'Thank you but I will leave it this time.' He then said, very rudely, 'You can't be bothered to go to the other counter?' and I said, 'No, thank you.' He then said, 'You're too lazy to walk over to the other counter? Unbelievable!' I said, 'Why the attitude?' and he said, 'Because of you being lazy. It's people like you why we are closing.' I was just shocked and walked out! I will never go back, and it looks like I'm not the only one!

I have never encountered such a rude jobs worth as the elderly man working in this post office, I have recently moved back to the area and had previously only encountered the Lady who works in there, who was very pleasant.
The man has no manners refused point blank to send a recorded next day delivery as apparently they can only be sent out up until 11 am as that's when the postman picks them up, despite the postman with his van still being there at 12.20 when I arrived and he was sat outside waiting. ( No where on the website does it state this 11am deadline for sending recorded delivery)
Also to be asked in a very rhetorical and chauvinistic manner "Are you dim?" As I had left the building after being forwarned by family that he is a very rude and unhelpful person. I will never go there again what a disgusting way to treat and speak to customers appalling service.

What a most unpleasant visit to the post office in WHSmith Guildford High Street today. The queue was extremely long and I do appreciate that it is a very busy time of year but we were encouraged to use the self service tills. The problem with this is that the staff on hand to help with queries are extremely unhelpful and rude and when they do decide to help they are very condescending. I can't say that I'm going to rush back there any time soon.

No one would help and this lady actually turned her back an and ignored me whilst I was talking to her. I will be making a formal complaint.

Staff overall are always friendly, if you ask then they can be also helpful. It is a small shop and you get all the basics you might need for a fairly reasonable price. But this review is more about the post office - that is small and of course better a small office than driving to the town center. Sometimes it just happens that there are too many people in the very same moment so it takes time to get served. I was always given the best advice, if you need you always get the essential stuff like envelopes of various sizes and types or whatever you might need. The major negative is how this post office has been manned - during lunch time yo simply have to wait or come later as it happened to me. Also when you check the opening hours online you get the impression they are open till 10 pm every day - not true, did raised this issue but nothing happened. So during week the hours are till 5 pm or 5:30 pm , not sure now. Not sure if it's open during the weekend but I am sure not on Sunday.

Service can be a bit patchy here as the Post Office counter is not always manned. However, it does the job even if service can be a little brusque at times. The counter could be a little less cluttered as you have to hand parcels over across the scales etc, which get in the way a bit.

I posted a parcel in the Godalming PO, asking them to check the postage I had already put on was enough - they confirmed that it was. Sadly the recipient’s local branch didn’t agree - they had to pay another £3 postage!! I have asked Godalming to look into it, but have had no response. I can’t find a phone number to call them which is very unhelpful! I’m dissatisfied with the service and won’t be going there again.

I had 2 tracking numbers I needed to see where my parcel was as it said it had been given to this post office. The post office staff seemed less then happy to help, and told me it wasn't there. I gave it 5 minutes, freaking out that £200+ worth of goods were missing, then went back and tried again because I had already spoken to the company I ordered from. BOTH my parcels were there, the staff just couldn't be bothered to look for them! They found them when I pointed to the corner and asked if they would check those boxes, which ended up being mine. Miss the old post office in Waterstones the staff always seem to be grumpy at this new one and less then willing to help with anything.

I'm sure the staff are all trying their best, but Waverley BC planning seems to be a bit of a shambles - taking 3-4 weeks to validate applications, missing their own determination deadlines, 25 minutes on the 'phone in queue for my call to planning to be answered (during which time you get a few really sharp telephone beep noises when on hold as if someone is pressing a keypad on a switchboard who doesn't really know what they are doing). Sounds to me from speaking to staff that they are running multiple systems making it very time-consuming for them to actually find out the information they need to know.
Duplicate / very poor IT systems seem to be contributing to making life harder for them than it needs to be. It's LPAs like this which no doubt drive the rampant market capitalists to contend that privatisation is the solution. Obviously it generally isn't, but when you deal with a LPA like Waverley, you naturally start to question what could be going wrong.

Totally incompetent, either that or corrupt, but I'll assume incompetent. They spent £10m compulsary purchasing a pub and car park they didn't own in central Farnham. They then put that with the significant land they did own, including land given to Farnham Council for public use, and then sold the whole plot to a property developer for £2m. The land has got to be worth £30m-£40m, even a total amateur can see that.

This is about the Police counter inside the council office- the woman on there, with the curly dark hair, is useless. I list my car keys iover at Puttenham Common whilst walking my dog. A lovely person left a note in car park saying he handed them in at Godalming police so I went to collect. She said she looked in lost property but nothing in there Ihad a phot of my keys and quite distinctive Porsche key ring and asked to look in the box as I would recognise straight away. She wouldn’t let me citing data protection- nasty little jobsworth. I waited until she went on lunch and went back I saw a lovely grey haired man who helped me look in box and lo and behold, there were my keys. She was so unhelpful and obtuse she shouldn’t be employed there.
